Apparantly lighting a scene using AMD's Pro Render plugin takes the understanding of a professional photographer or something. Is there a good tutorial somewhere that shows you how to use lights using this plugin? I seem to only ever manage to light the character figures mostly.

I've never heard of this before. Do you need an AMD card to use it? I have an Intel.
Nope never used it and don't think I'll do. Out of curiosity why don't you use cycles/eevee ?
An Intel GPU or Nvidia GPU? From what I can tell it can be used with Pro Render. Its free on AMD's website, so its not gonna hurt to try and see.
I was just curious really. The scenes look ultra realistic in it if you go all out. But I basically gave up on it and went back to using cycles. Seems like Pro Render is more for the very serious professional 3D animators. They market it as "fast and easy", yet its anything but.
I tried it during my early 2.8X days.
Found Zero advantages over Cycles/EEVEE
but alot of disadvantages, so I dropped it
What kind of disadvantages though? Its probably a lot better now than last time you tried it.
