Hi,
could you make a camera for the eyes of a character? You know, like the lights; you can look through them to point them better. Would help me enormously.

Why not create a camera and call it eye, move it to the position you want, parent it to the eye in the Scene pane, then use that?

For the same reason it's not done so for the light: it would be simply easier. No offence though.

  • I created a camera that is small enough you dont see it when you are working and it slaves itself to the eyes of the character you have selected.  Double click and it installs itself in your character's head.  Now all you have to do is select that particular camera from the drop down list and it sees what the character would see, follows eye movements and everything.  Its one drawback is that if you cross your character's eyes (to focus up close or to makea silly expression) it defaults to the right-eye's line-of-sight.  It also continues to see if you close your characters eyes - nothing is perfect.

If that sounds like the solution to your need, let me know.
