I have Carrara 8.5 pro version 8.5.0.243 64 bit on mac OS 9.5. I had just installed sparrow hawks edge fall off plugin. Now I can not directly open saved Carrara files. They crash. I can open Carrara THEN go to OPEN then open work and save the files.

WTF?

I did delete the extensions of the edge fall off in the carrara filer to see if that helped but it does not...

    I for a long time could not open .car files by clicking on them either and chosing default program would not stick.
    Can now oddly, Windows does some silly things so Mac may too, it might not actually be opening it with Carrara.
    I have had Windows open them with the rendernode too! (which I do not install for that reason)

    No problems opening .car files by double clicking on my Mac, but the only plugins I have are Fenric's shader doctor tools.
