More disability aids and Anime products

I don't know about you, but I'd see to see products that would turn our 3d people into people with disabilities. for example, hearing aids and that sort of thing. Leg braces would be good too.

Now I know hearing aids wouldn't be very visible unless you did a head shot render but it's something I want all the same.

I just feel like that aspect of real life is very under-represented in the 3D world of Poser and Daz studio, you know? I'm deaf and so I would like to show that side of life in my 3D renders. :)

Also, is it me or isn't there just not enough anime stuff for Akio from 2.0 to 4.0? :) most stuff I had to get was from an awesome 3d artist named Red Viper...

By anime stuff, I really meant the more unusual styles from Japan, such as the Gothic Lolita clothing such as those clothes:

AuroraMoon, I believe that Sickleyield has some free hearing aids for Gen 4 characters... and there is a prosthetic arm over at PoserWorld, as well as morphs for amputations. Will see if I can find some links for you.

The only leg-brace I'm aware of (and I've been watching for one to use in an image for several years) is the one in this package over at PhilC's store http://istore.mikrotec.com/philc/index1.html?page=catalog&category=a&vid=71169289&pid=1946800373&oldvid=2143420604 , unfortunately it's pretty basic, and for a non-standard figure.

ZME has some good basic wheelchairs, there's one reasonable lightweight wheelchair at Rendo and some prosthetics for V3, and several packs of crutches - here, at Rendo and at ZME, plus the casts DAZ put out last year, but that's about it. Disability doesn't really get a great deal of attention. I can't even think of a straightforward medical cane (I've been meaning to hack a crutch apart in Hex for ages)

If someone produced a good powerchair, racing wheelchair, or a more flexible lightweight chair than the Rendo one then I'd definitely be in line as a customer. I've been trying to do some disability-themed protest art and if I want any variety in what characters are using then I'm going to have to start rigging stuff I've found on Google Sketchup

here's the leg brace I wanted: http://www.fantasylegbraces.com/page2.htm go to the button titled Knee ankle foot orthitis, that's the look I like the best... http://legbraces.org/ although any one of the leg braces from this site would also work, provided that it was for the whole leg and not just any part.

It's gotten to the point that I've been thinking of creating a opacity map and a texture map to turn the leg casts that I already got into leg braces. it wouldn't look like the real thing but it would be better than nothing. :P
