I came across an interesting tweet today https://twitter.com/JesseMiettinen/status/1533048817754439680?s=20&t=iq_6Xhn3V4ctD-pGitzdIw
Does anyone know what that "soft material" in Blender is, and can we use it on G8 figures? That would solve many soft body issues if we could make Genesis figure to react to other objects like that, and if it doesn't require long simulations etc. to calculate it would be quite amazing.

Interesting, looks a bit like a smoothing modifier but without the usual issues. I don't think Studio allows for localized topology subdivision, which I am assuming it uses. It mentions geometry nodes.
He showed a screenshot of the node setup. *sigh*, I have to learn GeoNodes better. Much better.
As do we all!!
At diffeo we started to use geonodes thanks to examples by Midnight Arrow, actually for geografts and shells that are now under revision. In general there's a huge performance hit using geonodes so modifiers are better when possible.
Yes, I couldn't agree more. I really haven't done anything with geonodes yet, and it keeps on stunning me what people are able to do with thoses.
