Always thought that Bryce did excellent underwater scenes and all the entries certainly bear that out. Really great work by all!
My first entry: “Scout Sub GoldFin”.
Submarine model by Petipet, kelp by Lisa's botanicals, rocks by TCH, and fish by Toucan (Clone arrayed in Mooo).
Used a large volumemetric cube that encloses the scene and a water plane above, illuminated by the sun. Rendered with Normal AA, about two hours.

    My second entry: "Aquatic life".
Living room model by Stonemason, Big Dog by Hivewire, orca is a DAZ Original, and, once again, fish by Toucan. Yet another volumetric cube for the exterior water.
Interior illuminated by a short ranged dome light around the lamp and a large dome light centered in the room. Exterior illuminated by the sun. Rendered with normal AA – about 45 minutes.
    Thanks for looking!

Dan - great underwater scene, the submarine is impressive.
The room corner with a view out into the water is again an excellent, nicely detailed, entry.

adbc, drachenlords, Horo, Mermaid, Yellow Pen, thanks very much.

Dan, Two superb renders. Great caustics on the surfaces of the first scene and indeed impressive submarine. Splendid idea for the second one and I really like the reflection in the table. And, as Horo mentioned, wonderful level of detail in the living room.

adbc, I fully agree with Horo and the others: well done.

FirePhoenix, Very interesting scene and the colours fit very well.

Mermaid, great entries, I like the water surfaces and specifically the bubbles in the second one.

Drachenlords, three great renders.  Your posing in the first one is amazing.  The first two have excellent depth to them and the third is so eerie.  Well done.

Horo, the split view is so effective.  What an enjoyable scene.  The sun rays in the second is pretty and the third one is like Drachenlord's 3rd...eerie.  Kind of gives me the heeby-geebies.

adbc - how did you get mermaid010 to pose for your picture? :)  I am a fan of that crazy fish and did a couple of pics with it.  Very cool.  The second image with the swimmer just has me hoping that she makes it to the surface.

Hansmar - three excellent renders.  You captured the right look in the first image and the second has a wonderful fantasy feel to it.  I love the third one with the submarine...so fun.

YellowPen, what a great mermaid scene.  I've never seen this mermail before.

Electro-Elvis - awesome.  The words that come to mind are suspense, frightened (petrified) and creepy.

Sorry about so many posts but I had to do a page at a time to see them all

Dan, that's a cool submarine model.  Nicely done.  I really like the dolphin looking at the dog.  Good lighting.

adbc, your gel lighting is perfectly done...bravo.

FirePhoenix, such an interesting composition.  It reminds me of the stone figures I saw in a TV story.  People put a whole village of figures in the ocean.

mermaid010, both strong images but I'm leaning to the second one.  I like your gel lighting too and the underwater view is believable.

mermaid : superb entries, the colours and lighting are very cool and real.

Yellow Pen, Hansmar : thank you.

NGartplay : thank you. About the mermaid : The girl, posed in D/S, it took me a bit of fiddling to get the position right in Bryce, it just happened.

  • Hansmar andNGartplay: Thank you for your nice comments. I'm glad that you all like my render
