that was a good challenge with using just the qube... amazing what some peeps came up with
Clowns, Comics, Jesters & Fools
The jester is Toon Elf with a lot of redone textures. The hat was a Rendo freebie. Lorenzo is replicated. Carrara text.
No postwork.
~ and Thanx very much //
HW - Wow. I enjoyed the clown animation. What a high standard to set straight off the bat. Too bad about the bvh issue. Will have to watch for that.
Wendy - NFCs! You might be happy to know that the market is thinning. The number of active traders fell by half. Rarely a good sign in any asset market. Love your take on Clown NFCs, and am glad you shared it in the WIP thread. (and secretly hoping you reconsider entering).
Stezza - McClown is a very famous clown, indeed. Are the others clowns? Is the McBurglar a clown? Lorenzo never looked so good.
UB - Creative use of the toon elf. Unrelated - don't know if anyone saw that Dave Chappelle may get a sued by the guy that attacked him on the legal theory that security exceeded its authority after it was clear the performers were safe.
Circus bear. Back in the day, circuses had elephants, and lions, and bears, and... So here is a toon bear with preliminary rigging but no weightmapping. I think this will be the last of my base figures. I will do some variations on my toon male and female to get the ringmaster, etc, but I think I have what I need to get started.
how cool is that bear !
I just did a quickie using Genesis and Carrara hair .... I modelled the lump of coal with eyes
any similarity to anything is purely coincidental
Pet Rock
another classic stezza, took me a while to get it!!!! :) :)
Thanks for commenting on the avi - yes I dont like doing animations at all , thought I'd better since I introduced the topic into the challenge :( was hoping to pick up some bystanfders - oh well
that's wonderful Ted, great sense of balance you have achieved in the pose - another star of the show!!!
ah the jester's face says it all,
can't have happiness without sadness.!
beautiful tonal range as always
thank you :) Life is short so simple is good. The firest animation I ever made was with anim8or and it went for 20 mins and it was a boring as all s*^&^&t!!!
thanks @Diomede and @Stezza for yoyr kind comments too.
yes I second that @WendyLuvsCats
Here's an interesting video - might stir up some ideas - fairly simple movements but great atmosphere
:)
Wow that';s creepy
Creepy is the best.
HW and Diomede, thanks for the Jester render comments.
Ha! Great use of captions. :)
I started Carrara with the goal of animation. Back in the 90's I was a video editor. So, I bought Phil's course shortly after it came out. But I never even opened it. Phil said that you need to fully understand Carrara beforehand, and I was still pretty much a rookie. Besides, regular renders are so satisfying.
Just opened his course for the first time and started watching videos. No promises. A daunting amount of work ahead.
Stezza - nice Mac attack, love the pet rock - got me thinking about someone with his bit of coal !!!
Headwax - great animation !!
Wendy - gruesome clowns you have !!
UB - Jester looks awesome !!
Diomede - woohoo, a bear as well !!!!
Me - like UB I have been watching PhilW's Animation Tutorials - also no promises but I'll give it a try !
+ 1 _ pretty good ~
~ and then ~ the Grill-Box
not an entry.. just passing time blowing chocolate balls
Love maltesers
did you know you can model that in Carrara ?
~ actualy , yeah , But , have used Carraa Modelr only a small amout
and is kinda' used to Blender-O-Matic ( Slices, Dices, and Makes Julienne Fries ) giggles
_ and then - this aint Complete also _ was enuff for the Qubes Challeng ~ Thanx
@UnifiedBrain
@Bunyip02
See how you go with the video - I just spent two afternoons mucking around, it's a long drawn out process!
Lucky the surf was blown out :)
once again a lol moment for me - thanks!
I can see that fan blowing those maltesers all over t he place with Carrara Physics!
it's a fine grill box besides! now to get out the sausages :)
Welll here's a few hours work - an it's just the middle.
This works with Rowen Atkin's philsopy of comedy.
He has some great lectures on the thory of comedy on youtube - worth a wacth
Here's the finished avi. Must read the destructions for adobe premiere again!!
heres Rowan Atkinson explaing the theory of visual comedy -
Headwax if you have Inagoni Baker you might want to bake those global shaders for animation unless the psycadelic movement is what you are going for
ha ha yes I noticed t hat at the end thanks for that yes I have baker :)
