Simulation assistance - draping over figures

Trying to figure things out here and definitely needing some help. 

I have three figures all cuddled up. Two G8.1F and one G8.1M
They are on a bed, with pillow props.

I have them positioned exactly how I want them.
I have added a dforce modifer to the blanket that I want to drape over them. 

If I only select the blanket during simulation, it falls through the other models and lands on the floor.

If I select all the models then it starts to simulate the blanket and all the figures which I don't want. 

Is there a way to get the blanket to fall, draping ON the models instead of going through them, while making the models remain in place for the simulation?

Turn off the option to start the figures from their memorised pose.
