product sign indicate for which (gamma correction or ds default)
I feel it is naturall or user duty to adjust light or shader setting in surface tab, when I use gamma correction.
but at start point, just hope to know clear, the vendor designed and offered their prodcut for which.
if vendor release new item,
just hope to add sign in product page,
they offered their product with material , light set for gamma correction render or not.
I never think, we should use gamma correction, and not suggest daz user need to use gamma correction,
or vendor should offere their product for gamma correction render. it depend on vendor and users.
But just hope to know, vendor ddesigend their product for which render.
(I really hope, vendor not say," I desgined and offered for both prupose, with same material setting,
or light setting ^^;)
I know there are already some products which indicate, "for gamma correction render"
or vendor suggested to use gamma correction in their product page.
then hope vendor who release items for daz studio, just show which,,?
or simply show their produt render image, with clear discribe, he or she use gamma correction or not.

I hope almost items which offered with textures and light.
eg most of character offered with skin preset and textures.
and vendor often offer environment with light set.
In daz shop, there are many light preset already, to easy use.
do you really think they are offered for gamma correction render ?
we need not tweak them again?
I need many times to set oapcity or specular gamma again in daz image editor.
sometimes it already auto adjusted, sometimes not. I must check one by one.
about light , I must need to change intencity most of scene which offered with light preset
if I hope to render with gamma correction.

Ok,, I hope to show why I think it is important for user , to understand each product was made for which.
this is bare foot dancer Ready to lender.
then I just lender as default setting. I know it is professional work to show good render image with 3delight.
the sceen use 4 light , and set rendersetting gamma as 1.15.
(I believe most of newtral user never set gamma as 1.15 in reder setting.
actually I feel it is funny to find it.
because usually we need to tweak render setting for our monitor gamma.
then if we adjust it, we need gamma correction for each texture.
or use ds defaullt, it keep as 1.00. (then without gamma correction render) pic1
but daz offer this setting to get best resutl I believe.
anyway, this scene work well with the setting. I just render. then feel it is good.
then I think, these color now I see is vendor hope to offer for user.
hair, wall, cloth etc. there are the color, which vendor supposed to be when useer render with their product.
now lets try gamma correction render. (true physically correct render),
I use ds auto gamma correction. with same scene. no adjustment.
of course I need to change gamma correction "on" and set gamma in render setting as 2.2
and hope ds auto gamma correction can set each texture correctly. pic2
what happen about hair? is it color the hair vendor supposed to when apply the preset?
why her denim blue is now change as if she wear plastic clothing?
and if you close up, the hari seems too narrow or the character cut her hair for summer.
OK I know, I need to adjust light setting. but I think I need to change opacity texture gamma too.
and may adjust specular maps.

of course about her skin, user may think they are different skin preset.
it beyond , tweak light setting or not. I see different skin about same prodcut.
if it use ambient color, (some product use ambient color for skin)
and subsurface, it make me more difficult which setting is best ,simply because, I do not know,
the vendor check their product with gamma correction or not.
or vendor just use texture and add for each map, (diffuse, specular ,subsurface etc)
without test with render? they never need adjustment their texture with test render, because they know well,
how it work. I never believe so. they adjust each texture in photo shop etc,for their render. (usually non gamma correction before)
usually I decide skin or items when I see product rendered image. then feel the skin color is good for my character, etc.
at first time, I used gamma correction, (almost two yeas ago, with free scirpt which can set gamma correctly for daz studio,
with simple auto adjustmento about light setting offered by user)
for ds 3delight render, I really suprised, and felt,, it must be true texture color which vendor use.
then I felt, I did not understand true color of this product texture. but I feel, if it is not the color which vendor hope to offer.
if vendor add discribe for their render image, it make me easy to adjust setting for gamma correction.
(of course I may tweak each setting but it is not problem. just hope to know
untill tweak them, the color which vendor supposed to be for their product)
