SOLUTIONS for Installation of DAZ Studio 4.20 Pro to Blender 3.1.0
I was struggling for HOURS to look over tons of tutorials and discussions online on how to properly install and use this bridge function. I just want to sum up some solutions ideas from everything that I read and tried, for anyone who is struggling with this. I am using Windows so these solutions could differ a bit for Mac users. This discussion's solutions could apply to the following two main problems if you encounter any of them (Especially AFTER WATCHING THIS OFFICIAL VIDEO TUTORIAL!!! ):
1. Unable to find the "Scripts" menu in Daz Studio after installing the "Daz to Blender Bridge" through DazCentral
2. Unable to find the install DAZ addon in Preference - add-on - typing "DAZ" in the search bar in Blender
Solutions to problem one:
- Uninstall and reinstall the "Daz to Blender Bridge" through DazCentral (someone said this method would show up the Scripts in the toolbar, does not work for me)
- Manually run the script: While opening Daz Studio and finishing your model, navigate the "Daz to Blender.dsa" file by opening "C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DazCentral1\scripts\support\DAZ". Double click on the "Daz to Blender.dsa" file to open it (remember that your Daz Studio is still running!), the SubDivision Tool will automatically pop up in DAZ Studio (then follows the later-on steps in the official video tutorial)
Solutions to problem two:
- Most discussions talked about a zip file, I think for the new version it's no longer a zip file but an actual folder (you need to convert this folder into a zip, because blender can't install a folder), here is the solution:
Step 1: Navigate a folder called "DTB" by opening "...\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\BLENDER_VERSION\scripts\addons". If you have problem opening AppData, use the keyboard "Window + R" to open up a search bar then type and run "%appdata%", this will open the AppData folder for you to navigate.
Step 2: For simplicity's sake, copy the "DTB" folder and paste it in your Desktop, then right-click on this new "DTB" folder to convert into a zip file (my computer already has the software to convert files into zip file, if your computer doesn't have this function, please find a tutorial on how to convert files to zip files online). This new zip file called "DTB.zip" can now be open with Blender (in Step 3)
Step 3: Open Blender, Edit - Preferences - Add ons - Install... - This will open up a window for you to navigate that "DTB.zip" file on your desktop, after selecting the zip file, click on "Install Add-on", DONE! (Rest of the importing step is the same in official video tutorial)
I hope these methods could help! And sorry for my bad English (I'm trying my best QAQ)

Excellent solution. It worked for me.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Mine was in :
"C:\Daz 3D\Applications\64-bit\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4\scripts\support\DAZ\Daz to Blender.dsa"
But that was 99% of the solution. Thank you again.
The installation of Daz to Blender seems a nightmare to a lot of people. Personally, I reinstalled it several times, using DIM and Daz Central, and I was unable to find a dtb folder or Daz to Blender.dsa file on my drive...
me 2 !!
I dont think its installing anything. I checked all paths were correct, then installed the bridge.
ran a system wide search for *Blender.dsa
It found nothing.
I have daz 4.20 and blender 3.3
