Please modify Punky Hair Tail without the tail?

Could you please offer an update to the Punky Hair Tail minus only the tail in the back?

Perhpas also add some more short hair styles along with it?

I have been trrying to figure out a way to edit the tail and it seems to be above my knowledgte on how to do so.

I thought about exporting it but then the other textures would maybe not work with it any longer. 

To have this hair with many more options would be very awesome.

Richard already explained the situation to you in the other thread. If you're not used to working with SBH/dForce hair, you may not immediately understand that your normal methods of modifying hair won't work, but that doesn't mean you're out of options.
