Please someone to enlight me how exactly "pin rotation" works?

Please someone to enlight me how exactly "pin rotation" works. What I mean - if I select (for example) the shin and apply "pin rotation" does it forbid rotations of the whole shin bone or on the knee joint only?

Comments

  • It applies only to the joint, lower joints could rotate if the pinned joint was translated (also, the pinning is not very strong).

Thanks. So actually there is no reason to pin rotations as it will be better just to lock the corresponding joints, right?
