The Hair Gap! - How to fix scalp poke through?

Hello! I have attempted to use this hair with several characters and I get the same results. I am sure it is an easy fix — I just can't find it.

Not sure how to reduce the amount of scalp showing. I have used the shaping options that came with the hair. Tried scalp scaling. Tons of googling and YouTubing. Nothing seems to give me a clue.

Any suggestions on how to fix this issue? The attached image shows the hair on https://www.daz3d.com/fleur-hd-for-genesis-8-female

Yes, looking at the promo images NOW I notice that all the angles are intentionally avoiding the hair part. Frustrating.
