Does anyone know if the principle BSDF nodes can some how be used with the DAZ nodes in the shader editor for skin?

Drill down into the Daz groups. Anything that outputs a shader (always a green output, I believe) can be blended with a MixShader just like anything else.
huh? sorry but can u explain that in simple terms?
You can use the principled option for materials in the global settings. This way you get simple materials to tweak as you wish. The principled option tries anyway to match iray for what it is possible. But the principled shader gets limits over what iray can do, so some materials will be approximated, mostly skin, glass, anisotropic metals, any complex material in general. The bsdf option on the other way is much more faithful to iray but it is also complex and not so easy to tweak.
i see...i guess i'll stick with daz nodes...
