Wow! Looks (and sounds) great.
A very well designed short. The sound is amazing. The animation is kept to what's essential to support the story and that's good management of complexity. The anime style is good. I did enjoy it very much.
Thanks guys.
I am trying to emulate that "classic" anime Look of the 1990's
Inspired by (obviously) the Original" Ghost in the shell" and the Classic "Akira"
Production is extremely fast ,(typically 1 or 2 frames every second)
as these are ,Viewport renders ,technically not even using the "work bench" engine.
I have already developed a post filtering& compositing Pipeling
using the vast array of VFX options in the free node based Davinci fusion.
This technique requires the complete abandonment of PBR workflows
as it only works with legacy image/uv mapped content.
Stonemason's 3Delight versions of his sets look amazing
with this technique.
I estimate I can literally produce several finished minutes per week
Still deciding wether to do a series of five minute episodes
or a full feature length film.
LOL that sounds just ridiculously fast, in a good sense, as for production times .. also considering you don't have a nvidia card IIRC. That's a great example of what can be done with blender thank you Wolf for sharing your workflow with us.
I liked that; very good indeed.
... Best you've done imo.
Personally, I'd go with the 5 minute segments to go from act to act and logically splice them together into an entire play. Such a work flow fits well with inserting intermissions, prologues, epilogues, opening and closing credits too and on screw up you have 5 minutes rather than 30, 60, 90 minutes & so on to correct.
Very nice.
Stunning!
