Removing items from Smart Content

I don't have a use for Smart Content, and I'd like to remove the poses and other presets I save from being a part of it. I particularly don't like the banner overlays on the icons ("Pose", "Material", etc), and I want to get those removed most of all. I just haven't figured out how. If possible, I'd prefer to not have to re-save everything and just make some sort of change within DAZ itself or edit something in the text of the files.

Figured it out. The items have to be removed from categories. What I did was select the items within the Content Library, then Right Click>Categorize...>Remove from All Categories.
Thank you!!
Since I found this topic while looking for a way to delete Smart Content items, I'll post the solution: just go to the Install Manager and select Uninstall when selecting the item.
That has nothing to do with the original question, since it is about user-generated files, and is removing the content entirely rather than just the database entries.
Furthermore, as for the question in OP, especially "the banner overlay on the icons ("Pose", "Material", etc)..." they're Content Types rather than Categories. Removing categories won't remove overlay icons but just send them to Lost and Found in Smart Content.
If one doesn't want to see the overlay icons, set Content Type to "None" by using Edit Metadata action.
