:bug: haven't read one word so far about exporting my vertex work as an obj file for other apps.
Select your object (or even group I believe) and go to File-->Export. If you're going to Studio or Poser, I believe the best format is Wavefront object (.obj) You will then get a window with all sorts of options, but people like diomede will be better informed on the best settings than I.
4 whole days reading this monster. thanks to the snow haz extended weekend.
:) now i know the difference tween lathe and loft
and thanks to eyedrops tutt, i know where to begin with the gordon operation.
NOTE! Collision Detection is effective only when you reposition objects by dragging. Nudging and numerical repositioning are not affected by Collision Detection.
Black Holes?!
The Black Hole modifier creates a vortex effect, similar to the way water swirls as it is being sucked down a drain. In an animation the Black Hole modifier creates a whirling, circular motion that tends to form a cavity or vacuum at the center of its action.
If it rains all weekend, maybe I can find my manual and read it.
it's thrills and chills reading  but worth it.
i'm still looking at it as a poser/wings user, looking for the carrara equivalent of features,
trying to flip the switch in my brain to think like carrara user :)

I assume this is where to control the size of the nudge
Convert Procedural Shaders to Textures? serious?! :bug:
says the nudging also works for rotating and scaling :) holding one of the keys shrinks the increments.

quantum singularity
hhuhh, never noticed this setting. :) sounds like this could be useful for planes or dragon flyovers
 NOTE! This scaling factor also takes into account the cameras. Thus, a big scale can make them go out of the atmosphere.
found a black hole modifier demo  http://www.markusrothkranz.com/carrara_3d/carrara_modifieg.html
the fate of the unflateable cube? http://www.markusrothkranz.com/carrara_3d/carrara_physicsb.html
wheezz i'm tired or thats too funny

hit the manual again to learn uv mapping tools.
cut&stitch;.
found the detach polys. show handles, merge candiddates.
merge candidate: 4-Drag the point over another highlighted point to merge them together.
i click on a vert on the bottom of the uv window, and no other vert highlighted,
does it mean the vert isn't welded to anything?
takng a reading break. watching a whole bunch of cripeman tutorials
and some from the cafe.
