Source for Reading about LIE

The Layered Image Editor: Is there a good place to read about this? I tried a search in Google but the source seemed to be about an earlier version of D|S. I'm using 4.7 on a Macintosh.
I also tried the user guide at http://docs.daz3d.com/lib/exe/fetch.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/userguide/daz_studio_4_x_user_guide.pdf
but that seems to cover the more basic parts of D|S. I didn't find the LIE in there.
