Note in first attachment I found the content management start.exe, but it doesn't start because the services is not enabled.
When I go into Task Manager and try to start daz content management service - I get an access denied popup.
I have administrator permissions for the computer using windows 7 OS.

Here are some screen captures

I searched around abit on the web, but thought it best to just post here.
The problem relates specifically to a Daz application.
I would appreciate some links or discussion on ways to resolve this.
The smart content is not available without proper installation.

Since I am on Win 8 my content managemnt service is not running by default, so I must start it manually.
I do this by running the Start DAZ Content service as you depict in the first screenshot.
I have it saved to my desktop so I can quickly start it wait a moment after it is started then I am good.
If I am using the Beta It also has to be running the I can still conect to the DB even though it is suing the POSTGre DB and not the Valentia DB.

I can't get content management to start, because the service must be running.

I always show the service not running until I run the file indicated then it will sho that it is running as it actually starts the Service.
