Amazing character! Always nice to see something a bit different and special. I thought Brodie was quite expensive, but the new characters for Brodie have made it well worth having. Bought this straightaway and I'm looking forward to rendering.

can this texture be used on any G2 males? It states it uses Brodie UV maps so I wasn't sure, and I don't own Brodie yet....

It does say Brodie UVs, but there's something very odd. When I apply the Full Mat preset I get an error saying that Victoria 6.dsf can't be found. It's true—I don't have V6, but it should not be requested, and the textures load anyway without any mapping errors that I can detect (I looked carefully). When I look at the UVs it says Base Male (perhaps because this is default when UVs don't load on G2M). However, if I try changing UVs to Brodie the textures don't fit.

The shapes definitely require the Brodie shape, though.

Also, there is no Actor preset (unlike all the other characters) and the product and files do not show up in Smart Content unless G2M is selected. (I see there are no custom "Ryk" morphs, shapes are dialled, which it does say in the description, so perhaps this is why.)

From the first view on the Promo Picture in the shop I have thinked, that this character is for the females, because of the make up. I think also he was mainly designed for a female and then turned out later to a "male". And like for most current male characters there is no texture for Genitals announced (when I want use the texture on a adult character).

Hmmm strange. I'll look at the main MAT file in the morning and see if i missed anything. It shouldn't be using V6 UVs.

The character uses genesis male base uvs, but does not include genitals as thats the DAZ rules as Brodie is an adolescent male. If it was an older male I'd have included them. But cannot in this case.

I had a look and it's the eye textures that say V6 UVs, and it just seems to be the full mat. The invidual eye presets all seem to work fine.

The description should be changed too as it says "This product uses the Genesis 2 Male Brodie 6 UV Maps".

So exactly which UVs does this use? It looks very nice but I don't have Brodie since I don't use kid/teen figures all that much and I already have the Gen 4 and Gen 5 ones. Lack of genital textures is usually a minus but quite understandable in this case, however if I can get it working on G2M there shouldn't be a huge problem finding acceptable bits to borrow for making adult Fae. Maybe it's the makeup but he somehow strikes me as very elvish and Otherworldly.

Yes, I agree. That's one of the things that attracted me to it.

It uses Genesis 2 Base Male UVs (not Brodie's as stated in the description). However, the morphs use the Brodie shapes for both head and body.

By the way, can anyone tell me what hair was used in the promos?

Excellent. I shall have him and when it goes on sale or we get a fat coupon, I might get Brodie so I can use the morphs. But the skin will look good on many other G2 males, I should think, being from one of my favorite character makers. :-)

I've sent an email to DAZ, hopefully this'll all be fixed in good time.
