can i tell carrara to exclude things from ambient occlusion?

can't remember which, there was a ds product could exclude hair from ambient occlusion, was a render time saver

You can create duplicates of lights and have one exclude the hair and one only light the hair and set that one with lesser settings like no soft shadows
