 Yes, the problem was just that you are a woman ahead of us all in time.

But I don't know if this is being stupid or not but, even though I didn't see the post you were refering to - because it had already taken off for other destinations - I still thought your post was funny and got a laugh out of it.

I want a cupcake but there is no way for me to get one.

Theoretically you are wrong, contemplating from the point of view cupcakes actually exist.

The barriers holding you from the ' getting' point in space and time is transport, and the (un)willingness of the present holder of ' giving' it.

Different methods of transport include: walking, driving, flying, gliding, rolling, and in the future maybe interdimentional trafic,,
And then the remaining puzzle is how to tempt the present holder of said item of longing, to donate it, with a smile ore other ways of prostitution, different types of crime like theft and murder, oruhmm, I recommend pornagraphy (I recommend pron for all dillemas, relaxing and good for you're health), come to think of it,,, as cupcakes are so worthless for you're health I would just stick to pornagraphy, or chocolate, oruhmmm,,, :)

The third, and last barrier is present occupation of space/time withholding you from passing barriers 1 and 2.
But going there might make this theme to personal :)
I just urge to consider the dynamics of passing the state at hand to the state of desire, and behold the circumstances, and consequences beforehand, cause we are talking about a shift from a state you know, to a dimension of a potential unlimited future scenario's of the unknown, crazy dangerous wild adventures, man,, scary busyness, pfew,,,:ahhh:

I am going to a work party in a bit which will have piazza and cake.

I might be able to buy some cupcakes on the way to the hotel if I find enough money in the car. I have some laundry money and emergency money but cupcakes are not an emergency nor do they help with laundry.

My stepfather wants me to throw out my soda.

the best part is when they rotate the box when they aren't looking so that it appears that the little girl picks up the buckets that they had just tried to lift

    Okay for stupid:

Michael was taking a jog one day. He saw a bunch of people running towards him. He stopped one of the runners to find out what was going on.

The runner said that a lion has escaped the near by zoo

Michael asked where was th lion heading?

The runner asked do you think we would be chasing the lion?

Video-games today are very different from what they once were. And so they made "If Doom was done today". A sad state of affairs...

You can listen to the music used, here:

I want to set at home and do NOTHING all weekend. Why? Because I got a whole bunch of nothing to do. If I'm ever going to get it all done I need to get started soon.

You wouldn't believe this music was used in the original Doom (game, not the movie).

...stupid ebots broke again. Though I've been subscribed to this thread, haven't received a reminder for weeks.

...really tired of all this catchup i need to do. ('sides, a good hot pub mustard or salsa is more my speed).

    LX, love your Avatar.

When it comes down to it, computers really are stupid for they won't do anything useful until you tell them to do so.

...and then, it's not a sure bet they will do it right.

...speaking of computers, anyone know where I can get a set of 5.75 optical drive rails for an Antec P193? Seems stupid Frys gave me the wrong ones and (like the HD mounting screws) they are unique to the case design as well out of stock at the Antec spare parts store.

Going to head down 'to Lovecraft's tonight. Any pub with an ad that shows a tentacle slithering out of a pint of beer sounds like my kind of place.

Tooth picks weird me out. I've been all over the USA... never saw a toothpick factory. I been to the other side of the world and back... never saw a toothpick factory. I've met thousands of people from all over the world, none of them worked in a toothpick factory nor knew anyone who ever did. The location of the worlds toothpick factory is more secret than area 51.

Here's a stupid thing that happened to me yesterday.

I needed to put some air in my car tyres - that's not stupid - but I went to do it in the early morning and it was very chilly indeed. I was stupid because I forgot that really cold weather makes the osteoarthritis in my hands even worse and so, when I went to remove the caps off the tyre valves, I couldn't remove them. I really needed to put air in the tyres so I kept on trying - all to no avail.

Anyway this other woman drove up behind me - obviously she wanted to aerate her tyres too. The longer I kept on trying to remove the caps, the angrier her expression became, even though it was bleeding obvious that I was actually experiencing difficulties. I considered moving my car to let her go first but then thought that was stupid because she was obviously lacking in any sort of empathy towards my dilemma and why should I let her filthy expression dictate my actions so I just kept on struggling - managed to loosen one cap but the others defied me. Eventually the woman drove away - I'm just glad she didn't decide to indulge in a bit of road rage.

But there is a non-stupid part to all this. :) When I was standing up letting the stinging in my fingers subside before I tried again, a car pulled up at one of the bowsers. Light bulb moment. This guy got out and I went over and asked him if he would come and loosen the caps for me. Without any hesitation he came and took them all off - he even offered to put the air in the tyres for me - but I said that that he needn't bother as I just really appreciated him taking the time to take the caps off. I thanked him profusely and he went on his way. Such a kind stranger.

Toothpick, or not toothpick. That is the question.
