Movie Maker for dazstudio 4.7 - Scene not seen in texture shade mode in screen

jean_paul_baconjean_paul_bacon Posts: 55

Is there a bug or I'm the only one that can't see the loaded scene from the update of movie maker in shade mode ?
I can see the scene when i go wire texture shaded or cartoon shaded but not in textures shade mode. Also I'm always in MVM camera.

Thank you for your help

    Resolved ....

Just set-up your display in Daz Studio .... Go to Edit drop down menu and go to Preference, then go to the interface tab and , on the Open GL section, just turn off '' disable Per Pixel Shading ''.

edit - preference - interface - open gl ( disable Per Pixel Shading )

Since I resolved my display problem with Texture Shaded Mode another one took effect.
Now I can see every samples scenes came with movie maker for Daz Studio 4.6 but none if the Prison Block !
In fact, i can't see nothing now in my display screen in any mode. I inserted a property , but in can't see nothing , just in prison block !
The environment has been set to ''none'' in Active type...

I removed the prison block then re installed it, and again nothing was visible.

Trying to find solutions is never easy. If you have some bugs with like that, let me know...

Updated mention - It's appears that this glitch is not permanent. After some tests, i modified environment active type to backdrop and back to none. The bugs was fixed...

Just to remember that sometimes, you may have to start a new clean scene by restarting daz studio ...

Thank you for your help again !

My Movie Maker for DAZ 4.6 just can up show up these old background packages!

Both 32 bits and 64 bits versions only read those samples an the prison block that i purchased in a same time of the upgrade for Daz Studio 4.6 or over. I did not found the way to get my other packages of movies maker to work with. It's appear that those scenes has not been updated yet to work with new version.

All products are installed in Daz Studio 3 , including the new prison block scene. The path has been updated and i did a new search for content in my hard disk. But nothings happened after that.

So, we are in the same situation... for the moment

I tried one thing, but it not worked and my software stack. I have inserted one of the sample background. Then I changed the surface image background for another one, like planet scape to see what could happens but Daz Studio froozen ...

    Good luck !

I found the DIM files for the older Movie Maker backgrounds do not include the XML resource files needed for the plugin.

What I did was to copy these files (*.xml) from my old DS3 installation resources folder (\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio3\resources\Dreamlight\MovieMaker) to the resources folder under my DS4 program directory (\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4\resources\Dreamlight\MovieMaker) and they all appear in the plugin pane and seem to work properly.

The XML resource files need to be added to the older DIM zips so they can be placed in the DS4 resources folder. The new Prison Blocks has its required file.

i´lld like to have those elder backgrounds in DS4.7 (own MM for DAZ 4.6+ since 3 Days / DS4.7 Win - all Versions installed / nevergotta DS 3 - but also bought the elder BackGrounds cause of the "sheep-Price" & announcement working with DAZ 4+..

    - nice hollydays t everyone..

Yeah, my solution does assume you already have one or more installed in a DS3 installation. I did not have all the Movie Maker backgrounds installed but I had all the original pre-DIM install files archived on a backup drive so I was able to get the needed files. Hopefully, DAZ will get the older files updated so everyone can use this great product.

I can not see any .xml files under the folder of Movie Maker! :<<br /> PS: I am using Mac OS.

I have no idea where the files may be on a Mac OS install. I have my setup on Windows 7, and just stumbled into the solution that worked for me. The sample files that came with the new Movie Maker are:

    MovieMaker_EgyptianTemple_Day_Sample.xml
    MovieMaker_KofMar_Day_Sample.xml
    MovieMaker_UnderSiege_Day_Sample.xml

These are the same files that came with the DS3 sample backgrounds. Perhaps you could do a system file search and see where they are located. Other than that, I don't know what else to suggest.

    Than you,rgcastle.

Using the file name you provided I found that these .XML are hided in "application folder"!!!

    PS:
    Macintosh HD ▸ Applications ▸ DAZ 3D ▸ DAZStudio4 64-bit ▸ resources ▸ Dreamlight ▸ MovieMaker

While background images are stored in
    Macintosh HD ▸ Users ▸ Shared ▸ My DAZ 3D Library ▸ Runtime ▸ textures ▸ Dreamlight ▸ MovieMaker

But there are only these 3 samplers' .xml.

Cristina Galloway just gave me a data file(MovieMakerDataFiles.zip) that solved the problem.

Since I have already bought full version of these samplers,
is there any EASY way to remove these samplers.

BTW, why does "MM for DS4.6" not use new background packages as samplers?
