I was busy looking at Charles' Wild West Town- but in the back of my mind, I knew I bought Polish's town and it's interesting to compare the two. Charles' seems to have a lot more to it. I used my Daz+ and got 6.00 off so it was 11.13, which is 68% off. Great deal!

Flash sale on core figures- 10.00 each!   I had gotten several of the hair products in the last Flash and forgot to check out. It doesn't even bother me anymore, they'll be back around.

I unchecked Hide Items I Own, and Genesis 8 Starter Essentials showed up in the flash sale results.

@Gordig, Jun-fan has two skin material, and a Human and a Warlock Head to apply.

Yes, but all the promos show the morph as exceptionally - dare I say superhumanly - veiny and with almost Liefeldian musculature. JunJi is a realistic human character that can be made into a vampire, where JunFan looks like a vampire character that can be made slightly more human.

Well, for what it's worth, his musculature isn't that intense -- it really does look more like a guy who works out a lot. You know, like warlock vampires do.

Honestly, the only things I would fault him on are that his head is very veiny -- that can mostly, but not entirely, be hidden by hair. The one thing that can't be hidden -- and which is apparent in the promos -- is that his lips are very very very very very very very very PINK. Very. It's not a translucency thing; that's his texture. I may pull him into an editor to see if that can be pulled down a little.

    Jun Fan

I got the Old Victorian Street but felt it was too dark even in Sun and Sky full sun so it morphed into a night scene. I didn't see the night option for the materials at the time so I did my own :) I wanted to do individual lights inside the rooms in the buildings but there are panels behind the curtains that block the light and are part of the buildings so I couldn't do that so made the glass Emissive. Unfortunately the glass is part of most of the windows in each building and can't be separated into individual rooms, another downer for me. I also had to lower the resolution on all the materials before it would fit on my 6GB graphics cart :) I used a volume cube for the fog and a distant light for the moonlight through the fog.

    A Foggy Night.

@Novica, like anytime a close person who has passed, there are moments when you turn around and it hits you all over again. This gets lesser over time, as with my mother who died, when I was 27 on today's date. I remember walking into the postal center in Hellenikon Greece months later and thinking I needed to write her about something my son who was 2 at the time did and it hit really hard. Today, after eating, I looked at the plate and wondered where my clean-up crew was. It is better for him, he hurt so much. As did my mother from cancer.

(As a side note, when people complain about the internet and cell phones, when I was overseas in the military the only way to contact family/friends back home was by letters. Phone calls had to go through the squadron and be emergencies. Today, you just get on Skype, Zoom, or your cell.)

@vwrangler, I have seen guys like that around with natural lip color, no gloss or anything. Makes me envious. But can you use a LIE lip gloss on him to tone it down?

@Fishtales, I have the product also. Haven't used it yet. But I love the work you did on your render.

Polish's is more like a Ghost Town, a real ghost town that hasn't been turned into a tourist attraction like the one I visited in AZ.

Well ... yes and no. Yes, it works, up to a point -- you can go into the LIE editor and pull down the values to look more natural and slightly less like lipstick. No, because you wind up with very clean edges, and whatever the pink thing is that he had going on, it bleeds over the lip line on both top and bottom, so it still winds up looking a bit like lipstick no matter what you do.

I wonder if maybe he was built to be a warlock vampire first, and then they back-constructed the human version. He seems to have a lot of weird pinkness around the ears and nose and eyes, as well as the lips. It's the same sort of redness that Torment had, and he was technically designed to be an albino, even though his default human shader settings were nowhere near that.

Question for you dforce pros-  is there a setting to keep the item (a plane) from moving forward? I try to drop it on a lap on a person on the couch, and it ends up coming down over the extended legs. It never drops straight down. I'm sure there's got to be a setting somewhere. Appreciate the help.

Back home after a long trip out west.

For the lap, Increased friction for both the plane and the clothing can help: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/2993791/#Comment_2993791

Negative air resistance can help too by making the pane billow then gather in closer to the figure: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/2984006/#Comment_2984006

There are momentum effects in dForce, so an angled drop of the plane may cause it to move off the lap while a flat drop may help.

And there are other things to try (one of the confusing parts of dForce).

Maybe the water tank for it is enclosed by that cabinet

    Thank you.

The steel plate on the cabinet in image six is for flushing the toilet. As Robert says the tank is behind that panel.

That's a strange bathroom arrangement. There is huge empty space and the toilet is jammed next to the sink. I would not find that lovable or livable.

The space isn't empty it's a concealed tank/flush toilet similar to this

No, I meant a large portion of the room is empty.

That is close to how ours is. It is very convenient especially if you happen to get food poisoning and need to vacate both ends at the same time :)

Ah I didn't understand that you were refering to the room as a whole

The holes are there to attach it so maybe it will come as an addon :)

Oh, haven't you heard? There is a worlwide polygon supply shortage. They're all stuck on a ship somewhere at sea. No polygons are available for toilet seats. wink

Is your mom still doing well, Novica?

She is doing really well, thanks for asking!  At 94, she enjoyed going out to eat with her retirement community group a couple weeks ago!   (I blurred out the lady behind her because she wasn't part of the group and frankly looked miserable LOL)  Mom turns 95 in December.

Good to hear your mom is doing well

I found out that mine went to the hospitle with a broken hip last weekend, no one thought to inform me, she is 88 and aparently she didn't say anything to anybody until it was hurting to much for her to move which I'm told was a little over a week after she broke it, yes she is very stubborn.

They did surgery on her and checked her and were kinda shocked that everything else was fine even her blood pressure was normal, they kept her up to Thursdat aftern when she was transferred to the Reba McEntire Rehab Center for PT
