Sounds like it's doing something them! My husband and I had our boosters in mid-December. He was wiped out for the whole day after the booster, but apart from a little soreness I got nothing, so I'm a bit concerned whether it has had any effect on me.

Brooke looks cute.  I'll buy her when she is on sale.  edit: I never heard of her until I saw this thread.

Anybody else get the booster shot? I am going in an hour to Walgreens and get it. They had a 9:30pm and 9:45pm appointment left. LOVE they are staying late to do those! They had 52 appts a day before yesterday (I left the window open)  Wonder what symptoms you had compared to the two shots?  I had headache and nausea, second was worse than the first. I think the booster is half the amount, is that right?I ha

I got mine in October..  (Pfizer)   very limited side effects.  A stiff left arm for a day.  Much milder than the 2nd dose and milder than I usually react to flu vaccines.

It turns out double vaccinations after 6 months offer very little protection against Omicron.  btw -- I know a few native Greek people.  The correct pronounciation for omicron is AWE-mee-kron.  They're all annoyed by mispronounciations:-)

Just checking in- so this is what happened with the booster. Got it 10pm, next day 15 hours later around 1pm felt tired and chills, simply slept it off, felt fine today :)  Arm is not sore AT ALL. Go get your boosters and allow a day to pamper yourself :)  Walgreens offers registration online, took five minutes, just select Decline to offer insurance information so you don't need to fill it in, the vaccine is free anyway. I booked an evening appointment, there was no waiting. (10pm)  They have about 60 slots a day here in Pensacola. It was so easy to do, wish I had done it a month ago before all this kicked off with Omicron so badly. Takes two weeks to really kick in for protection so just going to continue focusing on exercising at home. Doing some spring cleaning early LOL.

53 degrees here, was 27 this morning. Ouch. Was only supposed to go to 32 degrees, they messed that up as usual. I give or take six degrees from what they say anyway.

As a linguistics nerd, I find it annoying that there isn't a gender-neutral collective term for aunts and uncles, or nephews and nieces. Your mother and father are your parents, their parents are your grandparents and so on, and your brothers and sisters are your siblings. Outside of that, you just have to call everyone by a gendered individual term.

Anyway, all that aside, this is my latest niece.

A sweetheart by any name or classification. You are so lucky to be related to her.

Technically I'm not, since her parents are my brother's most recent ex-wife and her new husband, but they're still family in spite of my brother's dumbassery.

    @gordig  She's a cutie!

You can buy one base character (Genesis through G3) for $5 with a coupon code included in today's sale. The selection includes starter and pro bundles. I'm not sure if that's a mistake, or if they meant to include the bundles, but I snatched one up right quick in case it was a mistake.

This is TOO precious. The Kentucky toddler dressed as the Queen for Halloween, and she gets a royal letter!  That little girl looks simply adorable.

    To cute Novica!

Meradith HD by Emyrs for G8.1F                                OOT Rasta Tails for G3F                               Batwing style outfit for G8 and 8.1F

This is Meradith HD by Emyrs She has a different mouth/face shape that I found interesting.  Also picked her up for less than $5.  She comes with fibermesh eyebrows, anatomical element textures, makeup and fingernail options.  Makeup options are separate eyes, liner, lips but the eyeshadow loads with blush.  What I really don't like is she uses hierarchical materials... I really wish vendors would not use them unless just necessary.

Only postwork is a little tone adjustment because it was to dark.  Fyi I used Thickener on the outfit jacket and pants because I felt it was to thin since its suppose to be leather.

@daventaki Your renders look better than the promos :)
I'm reading about all those products which are gone from the store, glad I got the cardboard paper shaders Dec 23rd.

    Lovely render. Very realistic.

    What character is that?

Heads up. Sadie 16 is often labeled as Sadie16 so you may miss some products. It's an older figure but rather cutie, from 3DUniverse and Morris has the additional ones with the words run together.  (And moderators- Sadie 16 isn't listed as a required product on most of them, just mentioned in the paragraph.)
See this page.   At least one is in the flash sale, Cheyenne.

Vintage Decoration Set is in Fast Grab. It's got quite the nice variety. I really like the owl and the hoops with the figure. The wax on the candles look detailed too. Quite a lot for $6 !!!!

I don't know any for "aunts and uncles" but for "nephews and nieces" there's "niblings".

    Very cute little one, btw.

So Tropical Beach doesn't include any water apparently?

How can it be a beach without water?

It does in the promo renders, but I've not bought the product. I'm wanting more realistic morphs to "ocean waves" hitting the beach then calm lagoon water for my beach scenes.

Doesn't list water, ocean, or sea in whats included, but it could be a backdrop and part of the scens preset material

IMO the best waves are one of the waves products and then use Ron's brushes on top of them. I don't think I have a tropical island with waves, or decent waves.  In my Product Library, I noticed Breaking Waves is no longer available (no page) but SY Rigged Waves Iray and Ron's Waves (LOVE those) and Fluidos have waves. I haven't tried Fluidos and then they upgraded it I think- so I have just stopped buying fancy gizmos that I never get around to trying anyway. How hard is Fluidos to learn to use?

I finally found the SeaNautica render from 2013 on this thread.  I took a blue plane and used Ron's brushes from waaaaay back then to create the water.   Other than the gals' rock hard chests, I love the renders for that storyline. A LOT of work went into that, it took days to render one image back then.

Fluidos is a bit tricky (and slow), depends upon what you are trying to accomplish. I have created waves using a dForced plane but it's not like the crashing surf you can get on a beach.

I was looking at cartoon figures, and Cartoon Kids is old so I gave it a spin. SO hard to work with. The eyes must be selected individually, etc- no morph dials like current figures. There's several mouth options but the eyes are pathetic.

I still like these characters & I bought them ASAP when they were released way back when along with the goldfish, puppy, kitten, and lamb. That account is long gone and I've bought them all and everything else in that old account a 2nd time. LOL, do you remember buying some pop music singles or albums multple times too because they had a way of disappearing? Yeah, me too, and some of them a lot more than 2 times, Led Zeppelin and similar genre albums were most susceptable to disappearing. laugh

The puppy I think is quite servicable still yet and the kitten too, but not as much. All those old Toonimal / Toon Kids probably can all be made nice enough again in these high resolution renders by adding subD to the figures and then upping the subD I think but haven't tried it yet. Actually, looking again, they are already quite good.

Oh heavens, you mentioned the Toonimal and I have the puppy, kitty, hatchling phoenix, penguin, shark, lemur, vulture, bat, frog, lamb, gecko, chameleon. WOW.  I bought many of them in 2012 and 2013.

Interesting, the Hatchling Phoenix is currently 80 cents, still in the store. Didn't check the rest of them. Edit- the puppy and kitty are also 80 cents. The penguin isn't that price, it's 6.97.
