I know this little Blues Club down on Chicago's Old South Side. Make a left down the alley, past the old gin joint on the corner, down a flight of stairs. Go down, go down deep until you reach the bottom. Man, now you're at the Crypt of Blues. Every Halloween night, every year for who knows how long, the greatest names in Jazz and Blues play all through the night, right up 'til dawn. You can see the greatest of the greats. People like B.B. Thing, Bloody Waters, Deadbelly and Louie Armsgone. This year's something special, we're having Bats Waller on the piano with Grisly Gillespie on back-up to the Queen of Blues herself, Billie Helladay! Admission is free! All ya'gotta be is...dead!

Once a year, the dead come crawling, shuffling, walking, and floating over the bridge into the realms of the living. Usually, it happens with little fanfare, they prefer to have the element of surprise. It's always worked so well for them in the past. Sometimes, though, a little fanfare is called for... and where would all the parties be without someone to wake them up all up?
Enter the summoners. They wake them up, and much like the cowboys and sheep herders, wrangle them all out to their parties. This year, they're waking the dead with an unusual treat - or annoyance, depending on which of the dead you talk to. The wraith over by the fence is less than pleased with the noise! Music! No electric guitars or electric pianos in this bunch. Just a couple of old fashioned, trusty instruments - of course with the reaper playing there, the annoyed neighbor at the fence won't dare to do TOO much other than grumble at them all about the noise.
And if you're going to wake the dead, especially if you're going to send them on their way to a good party, you'd better have nibbles and munchies ready for them. If you don't, you might just become their munchies! No one will miss a few scattered folks plucked out of drunkard's alleys. At least, not until the next morning. And by then, all the fun's been had!

Okay, so this is like.. literally the first time I've ever actually managed to complete an image with a contest of any sort in mind on these forums, or well.. anywhere else, for that matter. My muse is as stubborn and picky as I am, I swear! This started out as nothing other than testing out Gedonia's landscape, to see what was going on with the missing files. And well, next thing I knew... THIS happened.
I stuck to the no-postwork rule. All I did was tack a small border on, and my signature down in the corner. I originally WANTED to add in a decent drum set, but I couldn't find any that I was happy with. And the reaper up there on the rocks was actually my daughter's idea. She saw the scene during the building process, and declared that I simply HAD to have a Reaper on the rock with the other two - so, we have a reaper! LOL
I hope I got everything right here. I don't think I missed any items off the lists. Hunting down the links on some of these was a trip all in itself, I swear! Click on thumbnail to see full size. Image is about 1300 pixels wide.

I love the wraith sticking his/her head through the fence. This turned out great Seliah. Nice job.
I couldn't pull off the hand coming up through the ground with a rotting tomato.... so I did that instead. :D That was, I think the "clinging" ghost from Ghastly's ghost pack, I just set the opacity way down to like 20% or so, set Genesis visibility to off, to give the impression of the wraith.
I suppose he would be the undead version of "quit all that racket before I call the cops!" LOL
You should have gone and downloaded my freebie "Thing" model at sharecg. The hand is seperate and morphable with finger dials. DadChamp rigged it for me years ago.

I am not going to repost your listings as to save Daz some space, but it may take a while to check all of those links. For some odd reason, I didn't know you were on there. Yeah, I'm still getting caught back up! LOL Thanks for letting me know you had that sitting there. Now, to find a tomato prop that I can properly rot...
Believe it or not, a lot of those items on the counted list, I already had in my runtime, it was just a matter of re-locating their links.
I did download all of the instruments specifically for this contest. And both Ghastly's zombie and Ghost package were downloaded specifically for this contest. Everything else was already in my libraries, and has already been used many times over in my artwork elsewhere.
I don't know whether that should be considered a good thing or a bad thing. Hrm.... Yeah, I'm an addict. And not ashamed of it, either! :p
