    What is going on here? I just copied the textures I needed, moved them to a new folder, and renamed them. I didn't change any other setting but they look completely different.

    Are you using these on 8.1? Are you using the iray shader or the PBR?

    Check the gamma values - click the nano-thumbnail for the image next to the property in the Surfaces pane and select Image Editor.

    It's G8.1 and I'm using the PBR version in the picture but it's happening with both. I checked the gamma and sure enough it was changed to 1 instead of 0. My question is, what would cause that if all I did was move and rename the file?

    0 is automatic, it should be 1 for control maps and 2.2 for colour maps. Presumably in this case the map was seen as a cotnrol map, gamma 1, because of soem factor like format but it wa previously seem as a gamma 2.2 colour map. Do you use the same map for more than one property? If so the order in which you apply it might matter (Image Editor values are applied to all inscances of an image file, they are not per-property).

    Yeah the map was used for base color and translucency color. The gamma defaults to 0 when I use Chevybabe's presets as is and changed to 1 when I renamed the texture. Never had that happen before.
