ooooohhh keep going!!! I like this !!
So Boyd is a Guild Pilot Guitar now?
Have you ever seem a old British TV show from the late 60s called "Joe 90"? It is on my ROKU Stick on the TUBI channel. It is a show using puppets. The puppets are pretty good, like ventriloquist dummies I guess, but what is really impression are the sets that made for these shows. They did some seriously good work on those sets.
Also, sort of funny coincidence, unless you've seen the show and based Owen & Boyd off of them, is the show uses a 9 year old boy as star that gets memories transplanted into his head via some man-make technology in a science fiction sort of way and uses those transplanted memories to avert disaster or rescue people.
Liking the comics. Looking forward to more.
Boyd is a military contractor. Prior to Pairing with Owen, he built bots.
Brains are valued members of the military, almost their own branch, but the personality of a body liberated brain is not receptive or responsive to military training measures, they are resistant to intimidation, indoctrination, and other protocols designed to make a unit cohesive. The Military does get around this, by pairing them with enlisted people who they use to sort of manipulating the brains, but that only works so much. It is possible brains will eventually form their own unit and branch. Brains are pretty much pure intellect. Not everyone can be a body liberated brain.
I have not seen Joe-90
Pilot is a bass.
Same difference. I use guitar as a generic term.
It is not every day that there are several men's outfits released, but today my cup runneth over. Since there are 3 outfits, and one very nice update for the Mal3Imagery's MICasual set, making the total 4.
First up is Mal3Imagery's MITactical Outfit. It looks really good, lots of fine details, and the texture expansion allows for more variations in color and looks for different units in the military. I had a bit of trouble with the collar of Owen's neck, but included morphs kept it from intersecting his face. This outfit fits nicely and I absolutely love it. You should pick it up, this is a fine piece of work. Really.
Next up we have a biker outfit that channels Tom O'Finland which looks pretty darn sexy. Born to Be Wild. Two styles are included, so you get the leather version and the jeans version. I can't wait to see the art made with this fantastic set. It is what it is, skintight, and hot. Nice work. Don't forget the foot pose! It is in the "seperate items" folder. I am glad to see I am not the only person who has trouble spelling separate.
Enjoying your clothing reviews and looking forward to the next one.
I really want to like the ToF outfit but it just looks too painted on. Crotch, pecs, and abs look particularly awkward.
ToF???
Tom O'Finland
I'm getting Mal3Imagery's outfit and textures (no brainer), but not so keen on the ToF one, too skin tight and the jacket and jeans aren't convincing for me.
I have to admit, the leather jacket in Born To Be Wild is giving me some pause. Unless it's terribly thin and very tight -- and biker jackets aren't usually thin, at least -- a leather jacket shouldn't look quite like that. You can't normally see abdominal definition through them!
It might work to throw Fit Control at it to see if some of that can be dialed out and smoothed. Have to think about that.
The painted-on jeans do seem very realistic to me, though, and well modeled. I have seen people in real life wearing that type of thing, so that seems like it could work.
they look fine from the back but the crotch just doesn´t seem right to me.
Here is Street Tactical Fashion for Genesis 8 Male. This set includes wide-leg combat pants, a shirt (the vest is attached), a hat, and goggles.
The bodybuilder was not the supported body type, unfortunately for me, but Owen can kind of make it work. If I make him wear it again, I'll dial out bodybuilder and just leave in M8. You really can't see ripped muscles in a suit this heavy, and it reduces the outfit's volume.
The set fits well. I do wish the pants were slightly less bulky as they are rather voluminous and quite a bit wider than Owen's actual legs, but it is nice to have bulky military gear for a change, rather than skin-tight content.
Great! Another cool outfit, that looks real life, with som excellent texture options.
One thing about Street Tactical Outfit, is I could not select the pieces in the viewport at all. Don't know if it is me or my version of studio, but it was unselectable that way.
What happens when he bends his legs in those wide legged pants? Do the conform to sitting poses realistically?
Here I made Owen's body M8's. It does do okay with sitting and kneeling poses. I did attempt to dForce it, but it blew up on me. There are just too many possible conversion points for bulky clothe and I am too impatient with dForce to mess with it. It looked nice at about 67 percent before the shirt blows up.
Thanks for the sitting test. It looks reasonable.
Urban Sport For Genesis 3 is by one of my favorite vendors Blue Rabbit. You can load this whole outfit into your scene. Change the scene ID to genesis 8 male and save the items as support assets and it fits almost perfectly. I like the fit of the leggings which look really good and natural.
I tried the Street Tactical Outfit today and found several errors with it. I submitted a help request. You can see the details where I whined about it here.
It isn't whining to report problems and want a fix! Thanks for pointing those problems out!
I picked up the GNBD Gelatoo lovers set. Be warned, this set is not optimized for studio and includes obj files... With .mtl textures. For some reason, my machine can't see the .mtl files. Don't know why. So I used the Food shaders I bought before to make my own textures, and save these puppies out as props.
Some of the files, I can't figure out, such as biscuits. But the Gelato is pretty self-explanatory. If you can think of a good 'cone' texture let me know. I tried Bone, stone, cheese, bread, and others, but didn't find a perfect one.
I tried in order of appearance: Cheese cone, Waffle cone (it doesn't normally work, because of the texture on the cone but for some reason tiling is okay on this one), and bread
Happy Pride. Owen and Boyd enjoy a day at the Alpha Complex, which has a very nice pool. The Swimwear is from the MAXX set and the texture is a freebie for Pride posted here https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/418656/maxx-beachwear-expansion-pride-sample I wish there was a template for the swimsuit, since it would be fun to try making a texture for it. It has a lot of detail including stitches.
The environment is from Rendo, I bought it thinking it was HDRI (it is in the HDRI section), but it is an Environment+HDRI called the Pavilions. I like it a lot.
The new GNBD gelatoo lovers set. I used Meshgrabber to make the pink gelatoo meltier.
Such a fine job.
Thanks so much!
Okay, so here we have the dForce Flow Outfit for Genesis 8.1 and Genesis 8 male.
It fits Owen and his bodybuilder body surprisingly well. There is a texture pack as well with some vibrant and a couple of business friendly options. The brown color option (below) has a slight color issue on one shoulder from the back.
It is hard to make men's suits, so I am pleased with how this looks, even though, yes, the shirt collar is slighty of the rounded Peter Pan variety. Nevertheless, it is NOT one piece, and I think it looks pretty good. The headphones are a nice option. I like it. Also, and this is a big plus, the PA took the time to fit the garment so it doesn't require dForce. Thank You.
Okay, so back to making Boba Tea or Milk Tea
This is the Frappucino Model I picked up at TurboSquid.
I used Mec4d's Shaders for Food that came in Set. PBR Shaders 2>Food>Volumetric Ice
The Boba/Tapioca Pearls could be any dark material. I used dark gummy colors. The straw is gummy shaders in perriwinklish blue. The plastic is simple DAZ Glass. If you don't look down the straw and see it isn't hollow, you are all good.
I'm having a dumb brain moment ,what does PBR stand for?
