    The soft body physics objects simulated can be collected in the user library and reloaded in any scene.

    After Howie Farkes said the solution to something else was export as obj then import, I should have guessed! And yes I created my plane in the vertical, so I guess that may be the problem. i'll try it out tonight...

    But you really can't change the motion method from physics to keyframes with Bullet? I'm using Carrara 7.2 Pro, so I only have the original physics solver.

    Yes you are right for the rigid body but for the soft body like the flag, we are obliged to use the “Physic” modifiers and there we cannot convert the simulation into keyframes.
    I don't know exactly what means "Bullet"...:)
