skydome/box sets
some skydome/box with vegetation sets for wide range renders. best as suggested would be a 360 dagree set
the thing is I want to do some renders in a forest or jungle and some river renders in a jungle (amazon) but I can`t fill a whole wide range scene with single trees, the scene would be to large with a good forest or jungle backround and rendetimes would be to high.
second thing, if someone is willing to do such, please create it so that it is possible to have a distant light from different directions (shadows). Most backrounds and skydomes have a highly visible light incident so one can just use one position of the scene light in order to have the right shadows. So more a diffuse illuminated backround.
1. normal forest
2. jungle
3. palms forest
4. bamboo forest
but nextto the vegetation it also should have a sky at the top :)
I do not know if this is possible. I have tried some things on my own but the results were not good at all.

i like very much and agree with your suggestion !

are basically that
you can use other 360 images in the skydome sphere too
many on http://www.openfootage.net/
that comes near to what I need :) but some more types (jungle/palm forest and so on would be great, maybe a swamp)
over 800MB???? for six pictures needed as backround?
oh sorry, the set has two parts and both together are 2GB ??????????????? For 6 backrounds? means installed 4 or more GB man I am not the NSA.
now I know why daz didn`t show the file sizes until you buy the stuff. I just need backrounds not HD images or else. just backrounds of forests with a sky and they can be unsharp because it is in the distant (backround)
a very high quality huge images
yeah but I am not the NSA, my memory space is limited
have downloaded and installed it but it is not what I have expected for a set with 2GB and I do not now it I will use it, if then not as is created, I think I have to fix some things, as allways
you see the result better rendered
has a shadow catcher plane and uses image based lighting sort of.
I use them a lot if I HAVE to use studio which is NOT my prefered software.
sorry I did not think about file size
I have lots of externals my Daz library on a 3TB one
I do video animation so need masses of space
Is that what those 'HDR' things are for? I always see them in the shop, but never with an explanation of what they physically are and the 'stuff included' part never says they have any physical props, which has always left me more than mystified... Are they just a simplistic skydome and ground plane or something more?
HDR = High dynamic range, it's an image format that stores a lot more detail about tone than regular formats and which therefore makes much better sources (given adequate initial data, of course, usually produced by combining several photos with different exposure levels) for image-based lighting.
Yeah, that was about all I could find on it, definition-wise, back when I was trying to figure it out! I guessed it's using ultra-high-definition for the actual look of things. Still very foggy on whether they just amount to images pasted on a skydome/ground plane or if it has actual 3D environmental props within it, though.
They always look great in the promotional images.
Very nice images with camera and lighting metadata really
And a shadow catch plane with lighting set to match the image
So you are paying for the photographic and set up skill
It's not "high definition", in the sense of having finer divisions of the pixel grid, it's high dynamic range, a greater range of values from light to dark.
