came out better with the .5 accuracy.  still kinda jittery on the grassy area.  mebbe the anti aliasing needs an increase too

it was the big tech support joke of the 80s.  users would complain about the cd tray 'cup holder'.

i remember my mom putting a cd in the 5 1/4 drive.  tee hee  i used to never let her forget it either.

    ~ be kind rewind ~

remember that was for the VHS movies we used to rent

anyway... when DVDs became a thing I bought a player and promptly rented a DVD movie to watch.. at the end of the movie the missus said what do we do with it now...

I threw her the remote and said.. better rewind it.... took a while for her to work it out laugh devil

It's been a while since I've done these kinds of tests, but another method that worked for me was to render at double the size and shrink back down to 50% in post.  I recall getting good results using Anti Aliasing set to Good, and both Object and Shadow Accuracy set to 1 pixel using that method. You might have to increase those settings if you still have stubborn twinklies though, and that might make for some painful render times at double the size.

thanks. was wondering if the twinklie phenomenone was my weak pc
will try the shadow accuraccy next test.

meanwhile, took a break from it.  been trying to light a terrain with a single giant shape light.  its difficult to move around a terrain in a scene with regular size props.  have to keep zooming out to see the handle bars.

using the terrain from the farmland preset. used ellipse shape light

    I love that ship!

I also love using either of the LoRez 14MU Workers as LoRez pilots.

They animate well! So I make a generic pilot animation that's really long, doing different things throughout the timeline, then make an NLA clip that I can add to any LoRez Lorenzzo/Loretta based figure, and slide the clip around for each, so they're all doing different things - works Great!

As a side note, Poser World also has some amazing gear for generation 3 and 4 figures to wear - like pilot apparel and such. I got a whole bunch of it so far. They make excellent LR characters as well, using their LR counterparts!

Very cool! Not sure if you made PBR shaders for it, but if you didn't, I've written you a short tutorial on how you can in the other thread

I know how much you're into PBR/HDR right now! ;)

    Very nice.

I like the composition and your attention to detail.

I'm not so sure about lighting and contrast. Did you use gamma correction?

still studying lighting and the hdr

its like, i feel like i have to get to know each hdri. how much to rotate it , set intensity.

bringing over the 3du critters to carrara, one by one

    AutumnFalls01.hdr  rotated 45 degree

is there a utility to batch import poser pz2s to carrara cbr,
so i could keep all these 3du poses in a carrara runtime.
