Hello, its been a while since I've been on here, about a few years.

Until recently, I was seeing what the situation is, with DSON importer and Poser (I have version 10), with regards to using Genesis figures, especially the Victoria base figures.

So anyway, am I right in thinking that I can use G3 content only on Daz Studio (I have 4.9), with the DSON importer add on in the program? Plus anything up to G2 with Poser?

Yes, DSON importer only supports Genesis 1 and 2.

There are workarounds to use Genesis 3 and 8 in Poser, but IIRC some of the "fixes" involved require Poser 11.

...And the DSON Importer no longer works properly in Poser 11.3 due to changes in the Python scripting language.  Exporting as a CR2 from Studio should still work in Poser 10, but as Leana notes, it is not as straightforward for G3 and 8, requiring a utility to be run on the converted cr2s.  The free utility can be gotten here: (Edit; apparently the face morphs do not work in Poser 10 for exported G8)

If you're willing to put in the time, you can convert G3/8 face dials to morphs, which will work in Poser, including Poser 10.
