Xaviar is a handsome Spanish male character for a variety of renders.

Xaviar for Valentino 8 comes with facial and body sculpts from Zbrush and Hexagon to add to Valentino's base head and figure shape, based off of a combination of various actors' likenesses from Spain.  With several eye colors, tattoos, and skin presets, he will be a welcome addition to your runtime library and renders. Included are 1 Character Preset, and 2 Anatomical Properties Presets and materials.
Xaviar also has four ring props as well as a ear hoop for both the right and left ear lobes with four different metal shaders that can be used for all of his accessories - get Xaviar for Valentino 8 Male today!

Note: Materials are Iray only.

Note 2: There is no preset provided without Valentino 8, due to the sculpt of his features/body do not work well without the base model.

And one I did last night for fun:

Fiber mesh facial hair, Tattoos, and now, jewelry props…! You really know how to pack value into your products. And I'd buy Xaviar without any of those, he's just so darned gorgeous!

I will buy him (as long as I actually have my money once he is out) even though I don't have Valentino yet. I had originally planned to get Valentino when my paycheck arrived, but with his sale being cut short due to Abrey I simply have to wait a bit for him I guess.

Xaviar though will come home as soon as he get out (or as soon as I can nab him), since i can still use the texture and extras :)

You do have a way of creating outstandingly different, interesting, and beautiful characters.

Thank you very much!  I do try for some diversity; I sometimes find that I lean towards a certain look and need to actively not continually go there.

But why do you do so many that for "For . . . [a certain character]"? I don't have Valentino. I looked at him. I really don't want him. I notice this happening more and more with DAZ. Is it a sales technique in that it makes people buy more? I'd rather just buy the characters I really want. Don't mean to be particularly critical of you. As I mentioned, it's now becoming a DAZ thing.

For me, personally, I do not normally make a product that strictly requires the base figure.  However, his particular look was only achieved with the base figure at a high percentage dialed in, so I did not make a second character preset without Valentino.  He just doesn't look right without it.  If you take a glance through the rest of my catalogue that has Daz O's as a base, a high percentage of them have a base morph character preset included with the main character preset that requires the Daz Original figure.

I tend to lean toward providing both, but in this case (and a few others) the end look wasn't justifiable in doing so.  For me, it's "does this work without the base?" more than a sales technique.

Each Daz Original released will have a set of characters that are based off of the main model-it's always been that way. It's up to the PA's to decide if they want to include a base morph preset without the base model dialed in.  You may find that many people here in the forum will test out the figure and post what the end result is without the required Daz Original base model to help other people decide if they want to purchase the base with the additional character or not.

If my sculpts look good enough that I'd use them without the base figure, I usually add in renders showing what the difference between the two looks like.  I can do a quick one of Xaviar without Valentino and post it here.

Here he is with no Valentino Body or Head Morphs dialed in- a quick and dirty five minute render:

  • Yet another awesome figure that I'm waiting for!  So happy to see the renders in this thread, DarwinsMishap!

  • Honestly Dar you could just put a post saying - new product by me with no renders and I would still by it. I have yet to find any of your products did fit in to my render library perfectly.

Aw, thank you David!  Considering I also have several PAs that I generally automatically buy from when products are released, I'm honored.
