Instant Makeup for V5 UV Skin Sets

You've created the perfect skin texture for your character (Using Skin Builder :) (But this will work on any V5 UV mapped texture set) ). The outfit is perfect and just the right color. But what about the makeup?

From Eyeshadow to Eyeliner, Lashes to Blush, and Lips to Brows. You pick the design, color and opacity. Enough choices and controls so that your model can go from everyday makeup to evening makeup and also high fashion.

This is a set of overlays that uses DAZ Studio Layered Image Editor technology, with easy to use interfaces to make your selections. The eyeshadow and eyebrow designs require the browless base from Skin Builder for best results.

Will this work with Genesis 2 Female, I thought I tried instant rainbow makeup on G2F but I must not have as it doesn't work lol, so if It will then I'm looking forward to this.

Yes, this will work with both Genesis and Genesis 2 Female on the V5 UV mapped. It is kind of an upgrade of Instant Rainbow of Makeup without Face Designs, but Lips and Brows have been added. (Some of the Face Designs that could also be considered as Eyeliner were moved to Eyeliner). And only works with V5 UV Mapping. Enough changed that I felt I couldn't call it an upgrade :)

There will be a discount offered to people who purchased Instant Rainbow of Makeup.

Hi. I am having a problem with the Lashes control box. It is too large for my screen. The last item I can see is the Orange band.

I cannot see the Accept or Cancel boxes so I am unable to click on them.

I have managed to find a work-around in which I click on the back color only field and then press the tab key and the enter key until the window clears and the process updates the surfaces.

Is it possible to get an update to this so that it will fit on my screen? Is anyone else having this problem?

Others have had this problem with Skin Overlay... The best solution I saw was Infinite Screen a free download.

I do not wish to add this software. Would it be possible for me to modify my copy of the script file to remove the two lines used with the Warning, Please be patient... so that I can make it fit on my screen?

If so, could you possibly provide the code changes I would need to make so I can be sure to do it correctly???

/Runtime/Textures/DraagonStorm/RainbowMakeupG2F/bkgrnd/DSblackback.jpg is there and I pointed to it. It was looking for Runtime/Textures/ DraagonStorm/bkgrnd/DSblackback.jpg when I applied the first eyeshadow. After I pointed to it, it seemed fine.

Resurrecting this one from the dead. Presently, it seems as though Instant Makeup Genesis !Lips.dse fails to load, unless I make the effort to open up a script IDE window, and then open lips.dse in it ([Content Encrypted] and whatnot), but executing it there seems to permit it to work.

Any ideas how I might be able to get it to work from the content window again?

    Thanks.

I installed it via Daz Install Manager.

That's odd - scripts, especally older ones, may fail if isntalled through Connect due to the way they expect to be able to handle paths but they usually work OK (or fail) with a DIM install. Have you tried running the script from a file, then going to Help>Troubleshooting>View Log File and seeing if there are any relevant errors at the end?

I'm not sure what you mean by "running the script from a file."

    The following error comes up:

Failed to load script: D:/Daz 3D/Studio/My DAZ 3D Library/People/Genesis/Materials/Instant MakeUp For V5/Instant Makeup Genesis !Lips.dse

    when I:

    1. File>Open the script (which will clear the scene, of course)
    2. File>Append the script
    3. Double click from Smart Content

Testing everything except the peacock lashes seems to work just fine.

Two additional bugs of note, though I can't really fault Daz.

    1. Applying makeup on default gray Genesis incurs the script to try to access a texture that doesn't come with the software. Not a big deal, I guess - I can put a blank texture in the requested location. Though I expect I won't be using gray models with make-up, anyways.
    2. Peacock eyelashes throw up complaints because it can't find Freak 5 morphs... which I evidently don't own. Guess I'll put him in my wishlist for some time in the future, since he wants to be fabulous, too. Who can blame him?

I just meant double clicking the fiel in the content pane you use, rather than loading it into the ScriptIDE and clicking Execute. That's all the log gives? Sounds like a pathing issue, but I assume all the other content in the same location is loading correctly?

Everything else loads correctly, excepting the oddball error message for peacock lashes expecting Freak 5, which I do not own (but otherwise doesn't cause any particular issues).
