I've been checking the store daily for this since you reported it was in the queue. Instant buy, as in, I read the name of the product and clicked the cart button.
Sorry, but $25 for an "add-on" that adds a basic feature to an already expensive plugin is way too much.
Yea I'm with you on this unfortunately; I've pretty much given up on mesh grabber and have gone back to using dformers which are free with DS and with rotations etc at no extra cost. I expected a cost but I find this rather high especially as it sounds like more add ons are coming.
Mesh Grabber's one of the most useful tools I've bought and so I picked this up right away and I'm curious to see what other functions could be added. I chalk it up to my ADHD tax; there are some processes that don't click with me at all, I know realistically I'll probably never sit down and learn them because they bore me to tears, and I'll happily pay someone to think about them for me if I can afford to. One of my favorite uses for Mesh Grabber is circumventing dForce for any movement that isn't straightforward gravity draping, so the rotation addon is really helpful.
I seriously can't get how this is even comparable to dformers. I mean, I love dformers. I've been using dformers for years to make morphs and sculpt and all kinds of stuff. But the FINE TUNING and precision detailing- at the touch of a dial, to click directly where you want to affect, and how... it's so totally worth it. Nothing else adds that kind of functionality to DS. Yes, of course, there's always outside programs that can do the same things. Obviously. But if you want to keep things in DS, keep your workflow in one program? This is a MUST HAVE. I've paid so much more for programs outside of DS to have the same functions....but to do this in DS, without the back and forth of other programs and testing and such.... Hands down, this is worth it. It's not just for tweaking hair. It can do SO MUCH. I can't give enough words to say it. It's worth it.

Absolute, I dont use daz anytime without meshgrabber, its like in Gimp/Photoshop a normal Morph tool, to shrink/turn around or whatever with a tool... if I would have to export my image everytime to just morph it... I would give it up and cancel my hobby :P

ManFriday have a decent List what he (or she?... Man= HE, but the Video voice is female, maybe he hired someone^^), have all as ideas, like one of the next to do things is a Smoothing modifier, which I would love, like I can see in Zbrush (never bought, but I saw videos), where we can make hard edges smoother, that would be great!
I made a little clip, which shows the Rotation Addon in use, so maybe you wanna put this to your Frontpage or whatever.
↑ That is a video, clickerino it
I showed first how "harsh" the Translate version is and then the Rotation, which makes it smoother. Use the CTRL Button to move the node to a good point.
Btw. @ManFriday maybe its somehow possible to make a visual effect how the rotation will happen from that point? So its better visible where to place the node. And... when I move the node, the mesh does jump back to the zero pose, when I start rotate it goes to the last used pose, why does it always jump back first? that... confuses me :(

That is so cool ,I never managed to get deformers to do what I wnted but I love Mesh Grabber .
Save your money and spend it on what is valuable to you. If free tools do what you need, there is no need to spend money on a different tool. We each find value in different things. Mesh Grabber is worth the cost to some of us, but that doesn't mean it is necessary for everyone.
I think we have discussed the issue of whether Mesh Grabber or Mesh Grabber Rotations are worth it at length now. If someone wants to start a "Mesh Grabber is not worth it" thread somewhere else in the forums, please go ahead, but I start these threads in Commercial Products for questions and technical support, so please give it a rest now.
I appreciate the kind words though! Rest assured that development will continue even though things have slowed down a bit because of the virus. Thank you!

Nice. That's the kind of stuff I bought Mesh Grabber, and the Add-On for. Creating spirals, not so much.
Thanks to meshgrabber, without... I don't know, would Dformer be able to do THAT?.... hmmm I dont assume it.
Another Example what I do now:
I use the Meshgrabber + Rotations (thanks!) to let it assume, she will undress the Stockings.
I hope to see a Smooth brush in the Future, thats also on the ToDo list and I hope to see it so I can maybe smooth it after grabbing it, but... the result is fine :)
I just finished an image that would not have been possible, (for me,) without Mesh Grabber and the addon.
I created a bouquet using a number of plants that contained several "stems" but they weren't separate. I used the Geometry Editor to select each "stem" and Mesh Grabber to move them into place, as well as making changes as necessary for them to fit in the vase, and not intersect with other "stems" in the arrangement.
This is the finished arrangement:
(Click image to see the original 1500 pixel render.)
The pink lilies didn't need to be separated, but I did need to move their leaves around to prevent intersecting. I used a few of the "blades" from the daylily prop and five of the six flower stems. The rest of the prop was moved, using Mesh Grabber of course, to a point below the ground level. There are some dried grasses in the arrangement. They didn't need too much fiddling, except for one that was too long and poked through the front of the vase. I used four of six stems. I did the same with the ferns, using three of eight. But I also used the addon to revise the bend of each, and with the one on the right, I removed lower fronds and straightened the main stem, side to side as well as up and down.
Here's a viewport draw of the three props I modified for the bouquet:
(Click image to see larger version.)
And here's the viewport draw showing the finished bouquet in the vase, with the extra mesh below the ground level:

And for those that are interested, you can see the complete image in the gallery, here.
That made you good :) I like that we can now use a Falloff Size of 0 to move Items :) at the start was the lowest 0.5 and some items did still moved together.
I have mesh grabber 2,0 installed but i cannot have Mesh Grabber Rotations Add-On i just bought today
i have using DIM and not find it .I am using smart content inside DAZsudio and not find it
I am searching in tool menu and not find it
Also find nothing in tool settings
Just find and use Mesh grabeer push in push out not rotating possibility
Where it is?
The Addon gives additional functionality to the original Mesh Grabber Tool. It is not a separate tool. Now when you use Mesh Grabber, you should see the red, green and blue circles that the Universal and Rotate tools native to Daz Studio have.
You don't have to have the mouse directly over those circles, either. When you get close, the circle will become bright yellow, allowing you to drag from that point.
Is it possible that my Mesh grabber 65751_MeshGrabberforDAZStudio45Win64bit_2.0.0.0_ds.exe was not installed at the right place even i can have it in the tool menu ??
My DAZStudio 4.12.1 is located at D:\DAZStudio4 64 bits with Windows 190 64 bits
Okay. You are correct then, the addon is not installed.
You can't find it in DIM?
Try this:
Open DIM, log on, and load.
From the Downloads tab, click on the button labeled Download Filters.
Make sure all the Daz Studio options are enabled, (checked).
Make sure General, Software, Plugin, Publishing Build, Connect Available and Connect Installed are checked. (The last two aren't related, but should be checked anyway.)
Make sure your operating system, Windows 64-bit, is checked.

No.
Assuming you installed via DIM, the files you need for the plugin will be installed to the Plugins folder. If you have the beta as well, the correct files will be installed to the Plugins folder of both installations. If Mesh Grabber 2.0 wasn't correctly installed, you wouldn't see it in DS at all.
That made you good :) I like that we can now use a Falloff Size of 0 to move Items :) at the start was the lowest 0.5 and some items did still moved together.
Thank you, Loony.
Once the tool stopped moving things that were hidden, the 0.5 wouldn't be a problem. However, I think both changes were in the 2.0 update.
Mesh Grabber is one of the best investments I've made in this hobby.
I just used Meshgrabber to dropp down a dress from the Shoulder, I used a Falloff value 12 and placed the Node a bit away and did just rotate a bit, it worked good!

Yeah I also dont like dformer, its not soo good...
Kuddos, my friends, kuddos for this addon. Just remember to update Mesh Grabber to 2.0.
Mine did not update and I thought I wasted monitary denominations. A quick manual download and install from my account solved that problem.
This was sorely needed too...

Just installed the rotation add-on via DIM. Probably should read through the pdf file first but I'm having too much fun experimenting. Great!

I sued Meshgrabber to fit the wall to the door, So I was able to combine the EuroApt + i13 Dorm.
https://www.daz3d.com/i13-dorm-interior <- My Childroom
https://www.daz3d.com/european-style-apartment <- The floor
This was the original door:
So it was bigger, now I can combine it.
Endresult:
I can go from one Room to another :)

Thank you for posting these examples. I'm a better programmer than artist so keep them coming for thse looking for inspiration!
