To my eyes SBH looks better depending on hairstyle and taste but I agree nonetheless with @AllenArt that the tips of SBH are generally not so good looking. It's very difficult to create realistic looking hair strands that taper correctly towards the tip. When I look at all the hairs the PAs released it seems to me I'm not alone with this issue.

On my own renders I tackle this issue with postwork. But that's not a solution. I'm curious to see future hairstyles and what improvements they make in this area.

You'll notice, or you would if you had Linday's Virgin Hair that an opacity map can facilitate that. Then again, I've seen real hair display a similar effect; newly cut hair is similar, and I'm wondering if time causes damage to the tips that give it the effect everyone expects?

It can (and does for me) take time to get the hair to look right, but it's a new system so is to be expected.

Time to bring this up again. I love the hairs! They look so natural.

Linday's promo pics are also outstanding. Skin on some images is so perfect it doesn't even look like it's been rendered in iRay.

I'd really be curious to know a bit about his lights / emissive objects / hdri setup.

Sure. I checked it a while ago. But most scenes were just 1 hdr environment. Nothing special in there except tons of bundles of already made objects. I was excepting something from it but there was not much. And it's an old bundle, his images were ok at the time. But they definitely got better recently, for example, some of the promo pics of bundles such as "dForce Classic Blowout Hair ". I guess between "Inside Linday's" and now, he's got a few new tricks up his sleeve ;)

I really like the latest Linday's creation:

    https://www.daz3d.com/natural-stone-poolside-and-scenes

There are ready made scenes, that allows to quickly preview different hairs, clothes and characters.

One can, of course, customise the scenes further or create a different ones and reuse lighting and props.

    Just amazing...

Below is another example render - no postwork.

I can only agree 100%. The new product is almost perfect. Why almost? Having a fully created scene including a Genesis 8 Female base figure is great. It would be even better, if the poses also would have been availabe, in case you would like to pose a G8.1. The work-around is easy, but having the poses available would have been the icing on a perfect cake.

I give way too rarely positive feedback, but Linday's products are all top notch. I love both the outfits and hairs, and everytime something new comes up, I'm really excited.

I especially like your hair shader, and I use it with OOT hairs and numerous others, and it just works wonderfully ( just replacing translucency map of course ) and renders fast. I don't have any idea how Daz products are committed, but if it's possible to make a little change, then maybe you could consider using some kind of Linday Hair Textures folder where all the textures for your hairs are. Some of the hairs seem to use the same texture maps/UV set ( at least Romantic Curly and Classic Blowout hairs), so if I have several characters in the scene using those hairs, I swap all hairs using one hair textures maps, or my poor GPU can't handle it. It only takes few minutes of my time, but a single folder for textures would be a little quality of life imrpovent and saves some resources for users. Other than that, great work. Can't wait what's next yes

I really like the game of light and shadow in the spots covered by cameras in https://www.daz3d.com/natural-stone-poolside-and-scenes

It is something, that adds to the feelling of the generated images.

Still my favorite figure in this age group. Even if a real pain to convert onto G8+ base.

    Worth it every time.

  • Anyone ever tried dressing Satine in the Sweet Chaoz set?  I'm almost curious enough to attempt it and see how clashing it's going to be...

  • It just works.

With this color scheme, at least.

Hi everyone, thanks for your amazing support, renders are great and we really like to see your work with "our" products...

Perhaps you as users are more experienced in working with several hair products, and you are able to compare hair systems and their pros and cons. It'd be quite useful for us to know what works for you and when ( poses, scenes, lighting...)

    Thanks,

    Linda and Richard

Hi, I love your long curly hair for dforce. What I would love for it is a way to put it behind the ears to allow elf ears to show better.

I did have some success in placing it behind the ear by using a primitive near the ear but it would be great to have something shaped to the ear to give a better finished look.

    Thanks
