“Universe Explorer for Genesis 8 Females” is the latest space suit for Midnight_stories. It has the feel of the next generator astronauts who are heading out to Mars and the outer solar system. This pack includes Full body suit, Gloves, Boots, Helmet, Cap and Backpack. Plus 9 material presets and 10 body shapes. Also a premade subset with limits on it so you can apply standard poses to it. Gloves have an expand morph to get that spacesuit look. Be on the lookout for the matching Genesis 8 Males version and the Universal Habitat. Great for all your space exploration scene.

  • OK before anyone asks yes the female is a bit different with the backpack straps.

I really didn't want to do the female and the straps on the male was a huge pain in the butt.

Plus every female morph totally destroys the chest plate so it took forever to do them.

But I guess it's better than not doing it !

i will make the same question i've made in the other post, first amazing work and now the question what is the poly count of that outfit? (in the base mode not in high the quad or vertice count) if possible.

    Same as male

    Suit P 23106 V 23405
    Gloves P 5770 V 5886
    Boots P 10572 V 10790

They share the same UV space no overlaps.

The Logos can be changed with a B&W image !

Thank you for not making it sexy.

Why are the pants pants? There shouldn't be cuffs, they should be sealed at the boots? Sorry, I have an engineering degree.

Yes no breast and butt hugging shapes in this one.

Yes that's why it's called science fiction Lol ;)

We get to do whatever we want ha ha, well it a bit closer than most suit, the rebreather is not that real either.

That was the first thing I noticed too.... but science fiction makes its own rules of physics.

Like how you can simply tuck a helmet into the top of a space suit..... yeh LOL, that's gonna work in the vacuum of space. I have a degree in common sense.

Edit - don't get me wrong. I think your space suit looks fantastic and very well constructed.

I think the real point is you can get more sales if you can cater to both science and science fiction.

Is the iconography (like NEMESIS on sleeves and pants) a decal or otherwise removable, or part of the base texture maps?

You could always pretend that there's a return there that goes up to the top of the boots and attaches.

William it's mask base so easy to change or turn off, replace it with your own B&W image here see screenshot.

Also easy to change color by changing the base color so it's totally changeable. It was feedback on the last

suit that made me make it more customisable.

I better answer this I don't want to seem rude sorry.

There is no pants it's a full body suit, there is a zipper at the back which is covered up by most of the backpack.

I don't make super realistic I make it more plausible than actual I probably am closer to it than most sci fi suits out there.

If you look at the helmet and gloves cap they are quite plausible. For sales there has to be a cool factor or it won't sell.

I can't possibly please every single person, I have to find a balance. Some people will like it, some won't like it, like yourself.

To me all feedback is good, I wouldn't have changed the materials so you could change the logos and colors without it.

I'm just trying to make an honest living here and I thank you for taking the time to make a comment.

    Cheers

Richard you hit the nail on the head there, peoples own imagination will fill in the gaps. I left the connection rings off because

they would totally get wrecked when you bend to foot, it was it the original design but rigging wise it was too much work

so I avoided it all together.

midnight: I am so relieved to hear that! Rushing off to buy the suits...

(I've gotten a little frustrated at having to create new materials because my vision of alien habitat doesn't have USA/LOADING ZONE emblazoned across it)

Yes Just use the existing mask as a guide to putting your own stuff on it.

    Thanks for the support !

Thanks for the support. Sales are surprising the Male out sold the Female and the Universal Hab out sold them both so totally opposite to what I expected.

I'm going to assume there are the propper connectors as per the wrist tucked up under the protective layer of the pants "cuff" to keep the dirt out. At least the female suit doesn't leave the legs bare!

As for the habitat, I would like to see more room types, and a corridor section that as a door to the side - sort of like the T section, but with the door closer to the main corridor. I absolutely LOVE that they are made of soft material. I want to use them as corridors inside a space ship.

On the personal project front, I picture an escape craft made in the same way. Folds up to be quite compact. To use, add air pressure, and get into the resultant sphere. All beds etc. would be formed from air filled structure when the pod inflated.

It's pretty hard to run simulation with the air I do have some other padding that could go on the inside. Here a look at the sea habitat it will match up with this one so it would give some window.
