I was wondering if anyone could give me some pointers on making a set of stairs or point me in the right direction!? Doesn't need to be anything complicated! Thanks!

@meolaslim - for a start, you find in the Objects Library > Installed > Misc a round staircase and under Houshold one that are usually outside. If you want to model one yourself, start with a cube and flatten it so you get the form of a board. For the railing, you can use cylinders.
Ok i'll have to give it all a go, thanks!
What you do probably depends on what kind of stairs you want. For example, basic stone block steps vs. wooden steps vs. open grid industrial steps, whether or not you want handrails, curved vs. straight, etc. When I needed a short flight of stone steps, I just created a cube for the base and then used the Additional Primitives to create a rounded cube for the tread, then stacked a few of those.
If you wish to purchase something pre-made, there are quite a few pre-built steps available in the store either as products or as components of various products (not specifically Bryce products, you'd have to send them from DS to Bryce I think). I could go digging in my library to see what those products are if you have something specific in mind.
@Sean Riesch, I really like the look of those stairs! what I had in mind were stairs for a house, nothing too fancy just pretty basic, or even something similar to yours!
Hmmm, upon closer inspection most of the stairs I see in my library and ones I don't have but see in the store are pretty elaborate, not really suitable for a basic home, but maybe with some work they could be used. (grand staircase, palace entrance, mansion stairways, etc.) But here are a few that are still elaborate but perhaps slightly less so:

The Fairytale Tower ( http://www.daz3d.com/fairytale-tower ) has an extemely basic set of steps that are stand-alone.
The House of Mog Ruith ( http://www.daz3d.com/house-of-mog-ruith ) has a bit more detailed one that includes bits of the top balcony railing, but if jammed through the wall to hide the top it might work, although it's a little fancier.
Thanks! definitely gives me a place to start, I'll try making a set of my own and if successful I'll definitely share. Thanks again for the links!
If you are looking for something, try Horo's idea using cubes and cylinders.
Here's an example of stairs which is incomplete, I still need to add the railings.
Cubes and cylinders. The winding railing was difficult - I made it in wings.
