Is there really much difference between 7 and 7.1? In other words, I'm using 7, should I seek out 7.1?

Oh yes. Bryce 7.0 was an intermediary step when developing Bryce 7 and it culminated in 7.1. IBL for one is much improved and features an automatic tone-mapper.

And if you purchased it through the DAZ 3D store then you will have an automatic update to 7.01 in your product library

Just checked my product library and it was empty. Then I checked my list of serial numbers and Bryce 7 is there. What would be my next step?

Hmm, did you actually purchase it through the store, or did you use the direct download link when it was on the 100% discount offer?

Or maybe did you have the PLE edition, which was also a free version, from Cnet.

seems strange that you have the serial number though.

Either way I would think that the best thing to do would be to file a support ticket, and tell them that you have the serial number but no download link.
