    *Grabbed*

I may not get to really play with it until I return from the wilds of East Bumtuck, Louisiana, but I think it will be fun!

    Hi gilikshe,

It's not out in the market :). I just re-used the textures for V4 and modified it a bit so it would fit a male character to my liking :). As for the material itself, I simply use the SSS daz shader and set it to 50% with a modified SSS color map so the skin around the mouth appears more pinkish. In any case, here's a collection of my free stuff http://www.sharecg.com/pf/full_uploads.php?pf_user_name=shiftingimages. I don't think it'll be of help at this point but its may prove useful in the future ;)

Thanks for information!!! and thanks for link. Stairway freebie is totally useful just now for me.

    Hi SickleYield,

    Thanks a bunch. I'm honored.

    Hi gilikshe,

Glad it was of use :)

    Hi Jaime,

Ha! I'm actually doing some research on reality shaders settings and came across you in another forum. Your forum picture was so noticeably you =P. Thanks for the purchase. Hope it lives up to your banditiness =P

I have a render of this to post in the morning, but I have a slight issue that I can't figure out how to fix, and looking at the promo images, it's apparent there as well though I didn't notice until I deliberately looked. Basically, the studs over the shoulder area on the chest armor are floating above rather than attached to the armor. I've attached an image to demonstrate the issue.

Otherwise, loving this outfit, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone.

I have this outfit as well, but can the buttons be fixes as is shown in the above post?

This is a gorgeous outfit but there is a problem with the studs on the Cuirass, any movement can leave them floating in the air or disappearing into the leather.
I can't see a way to fix it, but I could be missing something

I finished up the render of this I was working on yesterday. I ended up removing the floating studs in post, but I'd still really love a fix for them.

Anyway, the armor is pretty perfect for my future dystopian rebel werewolf (...wow that's a mouthful) and apart from the issue with the studs it's great to work with. Lots of useful morphs to achieve different looks.

Has anyone put in a bug report about this, I've got about a week before I have to return it, its a shame as its such a lovely set, everything is extremely well modelled its just this problem really lets it down

Have you not reported it? If you do I would think that would stop the clock on the 30 day refund period for you until the issue can be resolved, or not, though I can't guarantee that would be the case.

Has the button issue been reported yet?
Or I might as well :)

    EDIT
I've been looking as to where and how to make a report, but can't find it in the help department...any hints as to how I file one?

You should have a row of links at the top of the site: Shop, Products, Gallery, Community, and Help. Hover your mouse over Help and go to Contact Us. There will be a button on that page to submit a report.

Added to that, it's send a help request, and then when you are on that page send it to Tech Support from the drop down list of departments

Just a heads up that I already got a reply from the techdesk and they are looking into the button issue.
I was hoping that the artist would poke his/her head in this thread as well :)

    Hi Estroyer,

I poked my head here just yesterday but I had to document the solutions first. =P

My sincere apologies to everyone for not getting back any sooner. My entire OS has been wiped out and I just got it fixed this Monday. If anyone wishes to contact me concerning a product, just email me at [email protected]. That would enable me to respond in a more timely manner.

Now onto the matter at hand.

There are three ways to go about this.

    1. The quickest solution would be to set the smoothing iterations from 8% to 0%. Please refer to the image below. I usually dial the smoothing modifier to a relatively high digit. It can cause some polygons to shrink and as a result "detaches" from other points not connected to it. Disabling or Dialing the smoothing modifier to 0 would eliminate this effect.

If you decide to go this route, just make sure to dial the appropriate morph for each character/figure to prevent any distortions.Currently, there is only one character morph present for Michael 6. Once updated, Jayden will also be included.

    2. The 2nd workaround would require a morph file. The studs detaches from the shoulders mostly when the Figure's arms are dialed down. The morph files ensures that they remain in place even when the smoothing option is enabled. However, it may not provide a sufficient fix for more complex poses.

    3. The most versatile of all fixes. I have re-textured the Cuirass so that the studs can be "embedded" onto the leather with the aid of a depth/displacement map. This is the same technique I used for the studs in "Tenera Armor". Rest assured that they will never be out of place no matter how complex the pose. One disadvantage is that the studs may not seem as three dimensional in comparison. However, with the complexity of the armor's design, we are bound to run into these, erm, compromises ;).

I'll share the link for the morphs, material and texture files once uploaded :)

Three solutions, I think I can work with that :D
Sorry to hear about your OS problems, I can only imagine how frustrating that has been ><<br /> Thanks a million for taking the time to update the issue and may I be so bold to ask: are there any extra texture releases planned?
The set is in my top 5 favorites and my male models love wearing it! (okay, I love them wearing it lol)
I really want to compliment you on the way the shirt folds, it looks very good!

    Hi Everyone,

I initially had troubles uploading the file in sharecg. Anyway, it's up now and as promised here's the link for the morphs and material updates: http://www.sharecg.com/v/74408/view/21/DAZ-Studio/Shifting-Images-BANDIT-OUTFIT-update

Do note that I will take down the upload once the product has been updated officially in-store. Seeing as there is an urgent need to provide a fix, I've made the update available for unrestricted download. It can only be fully functional if one has a copy of the product.

Next update should include a suitable morph for Jayden. As for an additional set of textures, I may have to release it as a separate add-on :)

    Enjoy!
