How does one select an item to be edited in Bryce?

To be more precise: How does one select a portion of an item one wants to remove (like…part of a ship), so it can be cut from the scene?

...in Bryce

    Hi dash,

The only way that can be done is if the ship is made of a series of grouped objects or meshes. If so, select the ship, and click the little "U" on the floating menu. Once ngrouped, you might be able to do so.

    You're welcome.

You can also toggle from object to object using the [Tab] key. Or holding down the [Ctrl] key and click on the object to get a list of objects that are more or less at the same location.

If the items are made up of meshes, then you can select them individually by going to the bottom right side of the screen and click on the down arrow to the right of the colored box. Put the cursor on Select Meshes and if they are meshes, as I said, a list of meshes with pop up.
