I stumbled onto a small group of horse people, online, that teach about horses. One of the things they do is to drawn on the horse
what the insides of the horse look like and position. It's really a great art form.

Anyway, for grins, I took those same drawings and made textures for LittleFox's horse, Diamond.
Tried as I might I could not get these drawings on Diamond in the exact places but still they look pretty good
so I thought I would share them once I am done with them. This is a work in progress now.

Here is an image of both the real horse and the Diamond with the same artwork, well close I had to smudge it a bit
and delete bits and pieces to get it to fit.

I will return here and post where online you can get them (if you want them) in my sharecg.com account.

Update: I am drawing these inside the horse textures so no copy right violation. I am posting my progress to this thread.
I am working on the first texture and I need to tweak it more so it aligns correctly on Diamond. It's further down on this thread.
I find drawing these images fun so it won't be too long before the first texture will be available to download. It is fun to watch these inside move as you animate or move Diamond the horse. These are not going to be accurate placement of the insides but close.
Once done I will post a sharecg link here for those of you that might want these textures.

2nd update: First texture all done. Here's an image. Will be zipping it up soon.

    Thanks.

I am not sure how many I will make but I want to tweak these a bit more before I release them.

Wild art work for sure I think.

I wonder what the horse thinks about the "art". It'd make me a bit nervous.

Hey, Tabbycat, that's a neat idea!

I don't mean to throw cold water on anything, but did you get permission to use their drawings? I don't want you to get in trouble.

Well it's hard to put a copyright on a art that is drawn on a horse since they do wash the horse to remove it.
Kind of like sidewalk art, you can't copyright that. I find tons of photos of sidewalk art online and there never is a hassle with copyright.

But I did looked for copyright and found none on the website. There is nothing on the photos claiming copyright.

It doesn't matter. Once a piece of art or literature is created, it is automatically copyrighted to its creator. This includes photographs, paintings, music, etc.

Ok. I have an email into the creator of those images telling her what I am doing and asking her if she is ok with it. If not, then I will hand drawn the inside of the horse for my textures which will take a while.

Thanks everyone for comments and advice and knowledge.

Diamond is fun to texture. Since my inside textures are on the hold at the moment
I came up with a cloth texture for Diamond. Old fashioned cloth dollies is where this idea comes from.
Made from old clothing or curtains for kids back in the late 1880s or so.

This is a very cool effect in my humble opinion.

Some interesting and nice textures for Diamond on sharecg.com Sparkle is where I got that glowing mane and tail
    if interested.

I have not heard back from the inside of the horse people, so I have started drawing my own textures.
Will be a while before they are complete as I downloaded a lot of technical horse information to learn from.

Updated: Here's what those above sparkle textures look like.

Just showing my work in progress on drawing the insides of a horse on Diamond.

This texture still needs to be tweaked but I think it's turning out pretty well and so I want to show my progress on this.

Ok, I have the guts and muscles textures done. I am adding a bonus texture call Diamond Cloth.
This is a texture that was at one time common to make toys from old worn clothing. I had one as a kid.

I am having problems with texturing the mane and tail but once I get that solve, I will bundle up
all these textures and come back with a download link.

All three textures can be downloaded. I bundled them up so it's the same link you used just
    to get the bone texture.

I tried to include the cloth texture but I still got problems with that one.

    Enjoy or destory,
