Creating Xray eyes?

Hey, how do I create xray eyes as in glowing eyes? I tried to play with the shaders of the eye suface, but all I did was changing the color of the eyes. :/

One easy option is using a light ambient color and cranking the ambient up to 100.
@Khory: Yay! Now I have shiny eyes. How can I add rays coming out of the eyes?
Well, you need something that breaks/reflects the light to make it visible. This is usually called volumetric lightning.
One of the many options to do it is this product: http://www.daz3d.com/atmospheric-effects-cameras-for-daz-studio
Another option to do it is in postwork.
OR use something similar to SY's freebie for creating crepuscular rays (God rays).
