3D Art Freebie Challenge-March 2019-"Lady Luck" -Main Thread Only
Are you having good luck or are you on lucks bad side?
Lady Luck is the topic of this month so show us what she's like, be it from her best or worst side!
I'm helping out Saphirewild, who's been taking care of this challenge all this time, for this month, be patient with me if you might know some rules better than I do ;)
The Rules For This Months Freebie Challenge are:
1. A minimum of (5) Freebies must be included in your image along with Links to the freebies you have used. For an item to be considered free it must be offered as a freebie for the whole month. The exception to this rule is all Daz Bi-Weekly Freebies will be allowed throughout the entire month in which they are free as well as the month following their release as a freebie (For a total of 2 months). Also, if a freebie is broken down into multiple downloads/links/parts (IE like if the freebie is broken down into 3 zips etc...)it only counts as 1 freebie, not 3.
2. There will be a Maximum of 5 purchased items.
3. Base figures (All Gen 2,3,4, and Genesis 1,2,3) as well as their general morphs packs (Morphs++ and similar) do not count as a purchased item or a freebie and may be used as needed
4.Your Rendered Picture must be a new render and postwork is allowed but you MUST include a before and after Postwork versions of your entry in the Entry Thread.
5. All DAZ 3D Programs are allowed (IE Bryce, Carrara, Daz Studio and Hexagon) plus Poser for the contest.

7. You may enter a Maximum of 4 Entries per month.
8. You may edit your entry as much as you like in the main thread but once it is posted to the "Entries" thread it may not be further modified. Also, if you edit or add things, be sure you update any links or freebie changes you make.

Goddess Fortuna
Fortuna was the goddess of fortune and the personification of luck in Roman religion. The tale:
SIRINEdigital2, a Female Android Model 228 (FAM228), was being updated but during the process one of the cables got loose and this lead to a very bad decission, she pressed the button of her Pokeball® and all the characters she caught earlier escaped, good luck for those ladies! Not for SIRINEdigital2 but she's an android and hasn't been programmed with feelings like bad or good luck. Lolo Bot is and she is very sad for SIRINEdigital2, "OMG! Mecha-Pop, Hacker, SentaiGirl and The Phenomenon, they all got away! And even the Forgiver escaped! O-o-ow..."

Instead of drinking the cherry blossom tea geiko Kimiha and geiko Tsunemomo both had two cups of sake and were having a lot of fun when suddenly the doors slide open. Fortunately it was just maiko (an apprentice) Ayumi and not one of the instructing full geisha because then they would have been in serious trouble! "Pfeww!" (幸運の女神 means 'Lady Luck')

Control throw /Last throw/

Note:
English is not my native language. I took the idea of a “control throw” from a “control shot” (in Russian, it means the last shot at the victim, usually the head)
The player always plays against probability theory (i.e. against luck). But the player against luck must remember that the last word will always be behind her. Will she "kill" the player now with a "last shot"? Or leave him "alive" until the next meeting?
But in this case, she will throw out the “two sixes”, take everything from the player opposite and go to another table.
Would it be better to call "Last throw"? I don't know, both concepts are equivalent for me.

How is it made:
Lady Luck - my new character Ashlyn (G8F-based, yet work in progress), SY 200 Morphs Genesis 8 by SickleYield was used in the preparation of the main geometry (including)
Also used OnFleek Eyebrows for G8F by AprilYSH
dForce Bad Girls Dress - reassigned surfaces with DS Geometry Editor, assigned shaders from Nvidia MDL (velvet, netting)
Earrings - Timeless Jewel Set for Genesis 8 Female(s), assigned shaders from Nvidia MDL (gold, ruby)
Hair assembled from two hairs, applied both at once:
Zsoka Hair has a not very successful skullcap and I had to correct the excessive "plasticity" of hair using Xanadu Hair for G2F - very short hair with correct skullcap. After that, the top of the hair became more disheveled and "alive". Then I applied a hair shader with the same parameters to both hair (with native transparency maps)
NightOut Suit for Genesis - suit depicts a man standing. I didn't put Genesis-man because the load on my old videocard has almost reached the limit.

March 26, 2019 is an important date in our family. It is Doggoversary, the third anniversary of Bear joining our family--mom, dad, late teens boy & girl. My husband & I stopped by the local shelter on 3/26/16, the day before Easter, "just to look" at the dogs. (#FamousLastWords)
There was Bear--a sweet, playful back Labrador retriever mix--we came home with this adorable half grown boy. It didn't take Bear long to figure out how lucky he was, with 4 people to love him & provide all the treats, walks, & toys a dog could desire. He is also our very fierce--noisy, anyways--protector. Bear is one lucky pupper & we are very lucky to have this loving friend. Here is Bear & the kids.

Yes, Nvidia MDL shaders can be connected to DS via the built-in Shader Mixer. In principle, several MDL samples connected in this way are included in the DS.
I have a small article about connecting the library, but I don’t have time to translate it into English (they say that the online translators seems to be helping, but I didn’t check it)

DS and 3D - a hobby for me. Therefore, I'm sure that they are free for non-commercial use, and I simply didn't check the commercial permissions.

Not bad. But it is worth remembering that Iray in DS 4.10 supports MDL 1.3 (I could be mistaken, but definitely not newer versions), and DS 4.11b supports MDL 1.4.

Good to know I just played with the presets again. I had moved the !MDL file and I had to reassign the new location. They worked after that. I also translated your "small article". To compare what is said in the article to what MCDLabs had done in the presets. A little different. I guess what can be said is using MCDLabs presets just gets you further along in accessing at least one version of a mdl. Your article is a great tool to understanding how MCDLabs went about creating his set. The best of both worlds. Knowledge sets you free.
Already quite an old article, a year ago I became interested in this and laid out in the summer what was studied by that time.
You can register several paths to the mdl folders and the shaders will be searched for in them, in the order of priority of the paths that are specified. I use this to include the folder with my .mdl's. You can also use several versions of MDL, promoting the desired folder above in the paths.
The main problem with Nvidia MDL is the differences in tiling from the more familiar and convenient in DS Iray Uber. Sometimes the desire to rewrite everything to hell rolls over me, but ... hellish laziness :)
