StuartB : both images are impressive and very cool.
drachenlords : Awesome idea, well done.
Diomede_Carrara : I also look forward to see your Bryce renders.
@ Diomede_Carrara: A good start. I'm looking forward to the Bryce Render.
Thanks to ed3D, Henryhor, mermaid010 and adbc.
Thanks for the encouragement, folks. My top post with the image that is all shiny and washed out is a Bryce render. Just default lighting and the shaders bridged over from Studio. Am reading an old handbook’s (version 5) chapters on editing Bryce’s material settings and lights so hope to improve. If there are significant changes to materials or lighting from version 5 to version 7, then I would appreciate a heads up.
I think the rule book should be read pretty closely before allowing me to be eligible for the new user thing, but if I qualify, great. I’m not the only person promising self to make an effort to learn various software accumulated. Read similar statements by others in the Art Studio forum regularly. I’ve accumulated some Bryce content over the years that would be fantastic to know how to use.
@stuartb... Mars Again!!...really? Very clever...sure hope he catches a ride soon... Ooh My Head... really fun image... love the various textures and the mirror
@drachenlords...Hall of Victory...Wonderful image of what's to come...
@ mtnmen: Thank you
StuartB: You’ve got off to a very good start. I specifically like the one with the bed. Too much Honda is not good for any robot!
Drachenlords; Great idea, but scary view of the future.
Diomede-Carrara: Well done. May need some fiddling with lights? And, I have done a tribute to Metropolis some time ago in one of the contests. You can find it here: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/3512951/#Comment_3512951
@ Hansmar: Thank you.
Thanks very much folks.
@drachenlords: Nice idea, Is this the future.
My first entry.
Name: Fun Bots
Used: Sector 15, Toon Chompers and a Toon Alien.
NOTE: The anaglyph is NOT an entry, just added for fun.
@Horo.
Yeah, robots need to have fun too.
Anaglyph version is excellent.
@ StuartB: Thank you
@Horo: That's cool. Very fun for many robots.
In my second entry, the robots have fun - more fun than the townspeople I think.
Last stand
Horo - magnificent work, the anaglyph is awesome.
Drachenlords - another awesome entry.
@ Horo: Amusing. Impressive 3d effect (remembered I had glasses included in the "Illustrated Harlan Ellison" I bought looong ago.)
@ drachenlords: very well done. I bet on the robots, except if Tom Cruise comes to aid.
drachenlords - thank you. That apocalyptic scene is very well done.
mermaid - thank you.
Henryhor - thank you.
Thank you, mermaid, Henryhor and Horo.
Horo: fantastic funny image.
Drachenlords: What a great image. Must have been a lot of work to create.
Horo : Excellent Fun Bots image and anaglyph.
drachenlords : Awesome render.
@ Hansmar: Thank you. Some work, yes, but also a lot of fun.
@ adbc: Thank you
My last entry:
Prototype
Drachenlords: You're last entry is wonderful. I guess the one in the white coat is the prototype and the one in the chair will be the real deal
@ Hansmar: LOL! That's a great idea. Why not.
Thanks for the comment.
Hansmar - thank you.
adbc - thank you.
drachenlords - again an excellent idea and superbly done. I see what Hansmar thinks, I rather see the (mad) scientist at the console making the robot work.
My second entry.
Name: Busy Bots
Used: Urban Future, Toon Chompers.
NOTE: The anaglyph is NOT an entry, just added for fun.
@ drachenlords: must be Dr Tulp's new anatomy lesson
@ Horo: sympathetic guy. Nicely framed
Entry #1 Necron
@ S Ray: I'm sure he doesn't respect the Three Laws of Robotics. Very well done.
@ Horo: Thank you.
Busy Bots is a charming picture. Unfortunately, I do not have glasses to enjoy the anaglyph version properly.
@ Henryhor: Thank you. Perhaps I should rename the image in the new anatomy studies of Dr. Tulp ;-)
@ S Ray: Yeah! That's cool. dark, threatening - I like it.
Henryhor - thank you.
S Ray - Necron is an awesome render. Maybe he's kinder than he looks.
drachenlords - thank you.
My third entry.
Name: Challenged
Used: Toon Chomper; the slide rule or slip stick is free on my website.
NOTE: I replaced the picture. There were errors (slide rule pointed to viewer, not robot, instead of slider the scale only was moved and then I used the side with only 10 instead of 12 scales (though the Chomper and I are still challenged). The calculation shown is 25.6 x 28.6 = 732.
Some great entries already.
@Horo. Slide rule's do that to me too.
Here's my 3rd entry.
Title: Gort...Klaatu Barada Nikto.
@ StuartB: impressive. Remember the movie.
@ Horo: neat render. Brings back memories: my father used such a "thing"
StuartB - excellent. Yeah, I've lost my expertise to use it meanwhile.
Henryhor - thank you. My calculator in the 1960s, still have it so I could remake it in Bryce.
drachenlords : wow, super idea, excellent image.
Horo : outstanding entries.
S Ray : Necron : very cool.
StuartB : beautiful.
