Color picker not working in light lab

I click on the color patch and hold my mouse, a drop down opens I get an eye dropper tool and I cycle over to the color I want I release my mouse button and only a black or white color can I get.

I am using a 4k monitor.

    I figured it out if I open google and search for a color and put my color dropper over it I can change it that way.

    _Hold _CTRL and ALT  and click

    ALT+ Left click works too for RGB by the numbers.
