How do I add an image directly on this style bag/envelope?

This model I got from Sketchup Warehouse but want to add an image directly on it as if printed. I have tried using the steps when importing 2D picture objects but it do not work out nicely. The bag is not very flat and image causes a poke-through effect due to that. I assume the 2D picture objects tool is the only way to add images. I have not used images much in Bryce.

Interested to find out this too.
I see that Dave Savage had some "product rendering" things with logos and images on this or that side of object, so it should be possible...
+ try your image as an texture_
Usually, a picture can be put on a surface. Parametric is not always the best mapping mode. You may have to experiment a bit to see which one works best. Click on the lower right button of the texture in the Mat Lab to get the list.
I remember David Brinnen (Videos link - he has a few UV-mapping vids in there - his first attempts are further down), Dave Savage and I think Horo, too, did some UV mapping stuff using the freeware Wings 3D (but then that means learning another software, which is always a pain to start off with, I suppose).

launok - Have you ever done UV Mapping? If you haven't, you should try it. UV Mapper is straight forward, free software and its been around a long time http://www.uvmapper.com/
If you're an adventurer, you can always try Shader Map: a little bit more advanced but it'll generate Ambient Occlusion, Normal Map, etc... https://shadermap.com/home/
*Note: You'll need an image editor/paint (GIMP, Krita - also free) so that you can paint, add image textures and even add text.
Good luck :-)
If the above is something you consider, maybe Unwrap3D can be of use. It is specifically designed to create UV maps automatically, and has a whole host of 3D formats to work with. https://www.unwrap3d.com/u3d/index.aspx
I had done only once a bit of UV mapping when using FaceGenArtist and followed the steps from there into Daz Studio using it on Genesis character. But that's about it!
Thank you for all the comments and advice.
