Not sure if these are the ones you are looking for, but there are several nice sets here
http://3tdstudios.com/index.html
There is a Conifer Forest and Tropical Rainforset among others.
..wow, never heard of that site. Good you found them.
I've been using those for a while now...and every once in a while I convert some pieces to Studio native formats...and since it's CC-0, when I'm done, I'll probably post them at ShareCG.
Those are sweet too. NEver heard of it, but I'm getting them too! :) Thanks!
...I already have Ecomantics which has a nice variety of low poly tree and bush billboards that work well for background elements.
Also have a several of Predatron's and LisaB's plants for when I need more detailed flora in the foreground.
Thanks,
They look good but I see thay are in collada format and designed for Torque 3D. How well do they import into DS?
I've been converting them to obj in Blender. And using them that way. Some of the plants have 2 'layers' and both show up in dae import into Studio. It's just easier to delete one in Blender than use the Geometry editor in Studio. Some need masks/transmaps generated (some have them, some don't...).
They aren't very difficult to use in Studio...and for the most part, the surfaces are named logically so if how you bring them in doesn't assign at least the diffuse map, it's not difficult to find and assign.
Also some of them will need to be rotated if brought in through dae/Collada imports.
Most of the trees are modeled with transmapped leaves, the shrubs are basic geometry and billboards and the grasses are mostly billboards...but not flat, usually at least two intersecting planes (4 surfaces, some are more). Other things like buildings are all geometry...low to mid poly counts. Rocks do subdived fairly nicely.
Does anyone make a free Coleman style 2 mantle lantern? Thank you. Jim
I will be the first to grab those once you get them set up in ShareCG :D
I'll grab them too.
Fairly inexpensive poser version: https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/legendary-lanterns---poser-version/78238
Not exactly free (paid account or uploads required) nice with obj format: http://www.3dcadbrowser.com/download.aspx?3dmodel=66403
Fairly inexpensive with propane cylinder in obj format: http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/3d-model-of-camping-lantern/741711:
Here's a free one...(free registration required) and it needs to be converted (Yes, Blender is required for conversion).

Xfrog has some 2d plants too: http://xfrog.com/category/samples.html
Can't find any poses for the Mil Dog that came free with DS 4.8. Just some simple ones would do, such as sitting and running.

I've been on Sharecg and somehow managed to miss that! Thanks.

Hair, Hair and more Hair
From Chohole's link...this is the Tutorial section (the link at the top seems to be redirecting to the wrong part of the thread).

Most of those tutorials are about paint hair after the render.
But a couple of the most important ones are the Ramwork's one on fitting hair and the LittleFox one on modelling too hair (the basics are the same for other hair...just the shapes and densities go up).
RAMWorks: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/1866/ramworks-tutorials-pp2-and-hr2-to-figure-painting-genesis-in-zbrush/p1
LittleFox: http://forum.runtimedna.com/showthread.php?14282
And I'm tracking down one more...
I am sorry - I still can't edit those messages, they are too long for the new forum software. I would have to create a new thread and split all those messages even farther (which would make editing a pain).
Here is the wiki: https://poserdazfreebies.miraheze.org/wiki/Hair/Hair_tutorials
I like Kozaburo's tutorial too - it's back to the basics and show them quite well: http://digitalbabes.jp/tutorial.zip
...anyone know if someone's created the dress Merida wears in the film Brave? Even an MFD texture would be nice.

...beautiful, Thanks.

Or like this, but with just one lily:
Any help would be great.

You might get away with a vase?

I'm sure I can cobble something together from one of these. Thank you for the suggestion, Kerya!

I'm looking for a facepalm pose for Genesis 1 or V4. I get that I may have to adjust to fit my character. I just can't seem to find a decent facepalm that isn't for one of G2M's forms. And I can't seem to move the hand there without driving it through the neck.
Thanks much!

Perfect, thanks so much! Was searching and searching but for some reason all I could find was G2M poses
