"Atmospheric Effects Cameras for DAZ Studio" not working with DS 4.6?

Hello, I bought "Atmospheric Effects Cameras for DAZ Studio", but inside of DS I cannot find any of the options mentioned in the PDF manual.

Moreover, I cannot find anything in the "content library".

Could it be that the installation went wrong or that it is not compatible with DS 4.6?

Thank you!

If everything installed right, you'll find them in Daz Format > Library > Cameras > Age of Armour > Atmosphere Cameras with a subfolder for the Presets.

    Thank you!

I just found out that I also had the DS beta installed. Therefore, I deinstalled "Atmospheric Effects Cameras" and the beta, and reinstalled the ""Atmospheric Effects".

The folder is now in the "DAZ Content"-folder, but I cannot see it inside of DS. According to DIM it should be a smart object.

Shouldn't the effects appear in the "Lights & Cameras" panel under "Cameras"? If I search for "Camera effects" in the "Content Library", I cannot find any results.

That part I can't answer. I don't use smart content and haven't for a long time. I don't think I even have any of the metadata installed.

I also have the atmospheric camera set from AoA. I re-installed it just now and it shows up in Camera's -> AoA -> Atmospheric... Another way to find content is by clicking on Product and then the alphabetic first letter (A in this case)

    hope this helps

When installed via DIM or manually, the "MetaData" que doesn't work (for me neither). If you can't find them in smart content, you can load the MetaData manually.

In the "Content Library" tab, click on the display options icon (four white lines with a triangle pointing right). Then from the list choose "Content DB Maintenance", then tag "Re-Import MetaData" and click "Accept". From the appearing list deselect all but the "DAZ 3D 13926 Atmospheric Effects Cameras" and click "Accept" again.
The cams now should be shown in the Smart Content Tab. If you also tagged "Show Items as New Content" the AEC content will be marked in blue in your Content Tab.

Hmmm. This one is really confusing for me. I've got D/S 4.6 as well, and tried to install "Atmosphereic Effects Cameras" with the InstallManager, but could not find them anywhere, even following the suggestions in this thread, so I tried installing them manually, but still can't find them in the suggested places. And when I followed directions for the metadata, Atmospheric Effects Cameras weren't in the list.

I don't know what to do now, except ask for help.

    Help, please.

    Oh! Oh! Oh!

I shut down D/S in despair and then came back a few minutes alter to try again, and this metadata window appeared and fixed things up.

    I didn't expect that!

    Now the cameras appear.

    YAY!

If you install content via installer while DAZ Studio is running, the metadata window won't pop up automatically. But you can force it then by choosing “Content DB Maintenance” and then “Process MetaData Queue” from the Content Library Tab's option menu. If it didn't come up when you have installed content via installer, there is almost anytime something wrong with the Content Management Service. I.e. the CMS is not running or the DataBase got corrupted.

At least on my end, anytime I installed content via DIM or manually, the metadata window doesn't come up by itself, I always have to “Re-Import MetaData”.

Excellent diagnosis & fix. Worked perfectly.
