Install manager 1.0.1.86 - upgraded an now can't log in to user account

I just ran the install manager and it said there was an update available. It installed the update and now I can't log in to my account and the software is pegging one of my CPU core to 80 to 85 %. Is anyone else experiencing these symptoms?

    What security software are you using? It sounds like the firewall, which had been set to allow the previous version, sees the update as a not-permitted program.
